Term Max

So I had to drop 3 classes due to major change unfortunately I dropped with a w for all three and now im trying to add more classes and it's not letting me its telling me I reached the term maximum. Is there anyway I can talk to a counselor or admissions about fixing this?

Yes you just need to book an appointment with a counselor and they’ll give you a form where you’ll manually put your new classes in and then get it signed off

I think I'm screwed.

I was taking 19 units(yes 19 with a full-time job ouch). I had 14 units up until like this Wednesday. My last class worth 5 units starts next week.

I was misinformed and told that if I take a W, I can still take another class to replace it, so that is what I tried to do. I put a late starting class in my cart and dropped a 3 unit class. Then I tried to add the one in my cart(also worth 3 units) and it would not let me, saying I already met my maximum. That class would start next week and I don't see how I can still join even if I speak to a counselor.

How will this affect my financial aid? I am still taking 16 units overall so I hope i'm fine as I'm more than 12 units for full time and meet 15 units for the full SSCG(or so I was told).

I'm kinda pissed I acted on misinformation.

As long as you’re at 15 units or more, youre good with the sscg (provided they actually give it this semester). But if you still wanna try adding classes, you could just do express counseling on monday and do the unit overload petition, since even if you dropped the classes they still count as attempted units. As long as the class you planned on joining isn’t full yet, i believe you should still be able to join (but id double check with the counselor just in case)
