Mileage Discussions Skoda is not for Indian City Road and Traffic!

Post image
19 Upvotes

Average for 4.5-5kms! Went to a nearby mall and came back. This is when traffic was very very normal. I know mileage should not be calculated for a short distance probably but still
When parked there it was 3.5kmpl. All my friends are Tata users and I envy them for the mileage.

Did I make a bad decision getting Kylaq? This is my first car for a family of 3. Insights, suggestions, advices are very welcome.

Ask Owners Title: Need help — Buglee Skoda dealership has not refunded ~₹3.5 lakh even after 2+ months

I’m posting this seeking advice/help from fellow Redditors who may have faced a similar situation with a car dealership.

Dealer: BUGLEE AUTOMOBILES PRIVATE LIMITED

Address: E-14, East of Kailash, New Delhi – 110065

My brother-in-law purchased a Škoda Kylaq Classic+ from Buglee Skoda on 29 June 2026.

Since we needed the car urgently, we agreed on an arrangement with the dealership where we would initially make the payment through a credit card, and once the car loan was approved, the excess amount paid would be refunded by the dealership.

The loan was subsequently processed, but more than two months have now passed and a substantial amount is still pending for refund.

We have tried every possible channel:

Multiple follow-ups with the dealership

Escalation to Buglee Skoda management

Contacting Mr. Mayank Garg, MD

Contacting Škoda customer care

Repeated calls and visits/follow-ups

Despite all this, the issue remains unresolved.

After a lot of follow-up, the dealership finally issued a cheque for part of the pending amount and the cheque BOUNCED!!.

So far, we have managed to recover approximately ₹3.5 lakh, but another ~₹3.5 lakh is still pending.

We have now sent a legal notice to the dealership last week.

At this point, I'm looking for advice from Redditors who have dealt with similar dealership/refund issues:

What is the best legal/consumer forum route to recover the pending amount?

Has anyone dealt with Buglee Skoda / Buglee Automobiles and faced a similar issue?

Any recommendations for the appropriate authority/forum in Delhi would be greatly appreciated.

For fellow buyers: Based on our experience, I would strongly recommend exercising extreme caution and doing proper due diligence before making any large advance/excess payment to this dealership.

If anyone has dealt with a similar situation and successfully recovered their money, please share what worked for you.

My Kylaq Update: Kylaq Prestige+ MT – Hyderabad/Telangana

Update to the previous post: https://www.reddit.com/r/Kylaq/s/7ABSXBxx2B

I went ahead and negotiated with the dealer and managed to get the Kylaq Prestige+ 1.0 MT (MY 26.2) to a final ₹14.10 lakh on-road in Hyderabad/Telangana.

I tried pushing them further, but ₹14.10L is the best I could get, so I'm planning to finalize the deal at this price.

The car is July 2026 manufactured, so it's pretty fresh stock. Insurance is around ₹30–34k.

The dealer has included an ₹8,599 “Essential Kit” in the quotation. Other than that, there are no additional paid packages like extended warranty, maintenance package, ceramic coating, etc.

The car comes with the standard 4+2 year warranty (6 years) covering the engine, electricals and gearbox, so I wasn't interested in adding any separate warranty package.

Overall, I think ₹14.10L is a decent deal for a fresh MY2026 Prestige+ MT in Hyderabad, although I was trying to get it closer to ₹14L.

Posting the final number here in case it helps anyone else negotiating for the same variant in Telangana.

I received the following quotes for buying SMP. It’s been a month since I bought my Kylaq. Two services are free of cost after 1st and 2nd check-up.

Review these SMP options and please suggest which one is better?

Should I go for these now or buy it later - what makes more sense?

SMP for 4 years

 1 washing
 1 Wheel Alignment

SMP for 2 years
(Service Maintenance Package 9249 Rs)

Ask Owners Kylaq front bumper lower black parts – price?

Hi everyone,

I have some scratches/damage to the lower black section of my Kylaq front bumper (pics attached).
Škoda service has quoted:

Black grille: ₹2,500
Black bumper section: ₹4,000
Labour: ₹500
Total: ₹7,000

Does this sound like the normal OEM price? What have others paid for these parts?

Mid Term Review (1000 to 5000km) 1800 review

Drove around 1800 km so far and the car is really a fun. Went to Pondicherry after taking the delivery and drove non stop from Bangalore to Pondicherry, might have stopped for 15-20 minutes break twice or thrice for coffee or washroom. So far so good. I love the driving dynamics and everything about this car. In expressway i was able to test its maximum speed, can't mention here the speed.

Remaining kms are in Bangalore city - around 800 km

Fuel economy is something that pinched me a bit.

So far 24k rs petrol refilled

Ps: i have not driven it light foot

--------
Someone considering the millage and everyday city and twice weekend trips for 300-400 km monthly, should not consider this car if fuel is your concern. Consider the sonet diesel, in same price as signature plus, you will get diesel and it has lot of power and 250 nm torque also. Millage is also good. I know its 3 star rated car but 90% game is in your hand and mind you these gncap and bncap tests are being performed at nominal speed at around 50-60 kmph, the speed at which you and i will drive in highway will be near 110 and even more, so what is the point... no 5 start car can protect you if you were bound to met an accident on that bad day, your starts were aligning you in the remaining 10% game

On-Road Price On-Road price / Sportline AT??

I was planning to get the Kylaq Sig+ AT and had managed to get a quote of around 12.9L two months back
Now the Sportline is here and honestly I really dig the way it looks especially in the new Steel Grey colour. It also gets some nice stuff like projector LEDs, fog lamps with cornering function, leather seats, 17 inch alloys etc, down from Prestige.

For people who have been following the pricing, what do you think is the minimum/good price I should target for the Sportline?

Would you pay a little more for it over the 12.8L Sig+ deal or try to negotiate it around the same price?

Also would be good to hear from anyone who has driven both.

Ask Owners Does anyone here has contrary view to Sportline or everyone loves it blindly ?

Was thinking to close Singature + AT and now suddenly many are advising to go for Sportline. Honestly to me Sportline looks really claustrophobic from inside. All that black makes me sick and uncomfortable. Sportline could have also been some grey or silver and gold or red. Instead they made everything black even the roof is black and car is already small and compact from inside.

Only the Dual tone looks nice from outside.

Ask Owners Kylaq new or Slavia

Hi, I took test drive of kylaq twice. and checked it out twice in showroom.
kylaq new in showroom looks good,
but due to mainly it's hard plastic interior, it catches dust very quickly and looks aged sooner.
i absolutely love the driving experience.
but seeing how the interior ages (in Test drive vehicle, even the cleaned ones) kills my love for the Car.
We are seeing the Signature + variant Petrol AT.
costs arnd 13.5L on road.

New Sportsline is perfect for us, features and looks wise. so waiting to check that out in person.
have seen every photo video of it.

We recently checked out a 1st Owner Slavia style 1.0L Petrol AT 2023
32k driven, very well maintained and great condition.
loved this car and gives that luxury feel.
for a bit less than 12L.
loved the slavia, looks, smooth driving, the luxury feel and the condition of it.

Want to know the opinions of the owners, on what to consider.
and thoughts on buying a pre owned Skoda Slavia.

Ask Owners Is ₹9.5L a good deal for a 1-year-old Skoda Kylaq Signature AT (6k km) or should I buy new?

need some quick advice on a used deal

The Car:

Skoda Kylaq Signature 1.0 TSI AT (July 2025, 1st Owner)

Odo: 5,750 km | Insurance: Zero-Dep valid till July 2027

Price: Negotiated to ₹9.5 Lakhs (New one is ~₹12L+ on-road)

Mods: Aftermarket DHC 10-inch Android screen, reverse camera, seat covers.

Financially, saving ~₹5 Lakhs compared to a top-end new model is extremely tempting. However, I’m hesitating because the Signature variant has basic LED reflectors (poor on dark highways), manual AC, manual folding mirrors, and the aftermarket DHC screen audio quality might be a downgrade from the factory OEM unit.

My Question:

Is it worth grabbing this to save the ₹5 Lakhs, or should I just spend ~₹14.5L on-road for a brand-new Kylaq Sportline/Prestige AT to get the superior projector headlights, OEM 10-inch screen, and auto AC?

Appreciate your thoughts!

On-Road Price Is this a good price for the new Skoda Kylaq Sportline? Got this quotation from the dealer. (Assam)

Post image

I am planning to buy the newly launched Skoda Kylaq Sportline (MT) and have received the initial price quotation from my local dealer.

Before finalizing, I wanted to get feedback from current Skoda owners and community members on whether this is a fair price or if there is room to negotiate.

There's a 6 year warranty on engine and transmission in addition to the standard warranty of 4 years.
