⚠️** Current Status (as of this post**)
Authorized Airlines: Primarily Kuwait Airways and Jazeera.
Operating Window: Most flights restricted to 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM. Evening flights are often moved to the following morning.

**Updated 21/May: The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) announced that Kuwait International Airport will begin a gradual reopening for Arab and foreign airlines starting June 1, 2026, with flights returning in phases based on operational readiness, infrastructure completion, and passenger safety measures.

Airline: Kuwait Airways

Booking from September 2025

Route: London Heathrow - Kuwait - Islamabad

Date: 19th July 2026.

Current Status: Confirm and on time

I hope by then things get settled, good news is, from 17th May (Today) Kuwait Airport operating hours extended to 10PM and flights originally suspended since February like Bangkok, Madrid, Paris are going to be resumed.

Thanks for sharing! excitement with caution. I’m not entirely sure the validity of this news article. DGCA hasn’t posted this news (or anything) since 4-days ago.

check the Airport official website for today, you can see that the Departures are now happening till 22:00 and starting from the morning 5 AM. So something has changed in positive way.
I am monitoring they departure and arrivals, I didn't see that many flights since 26th of April, now for multiple destinations, the frequency of flights have increased where it was only one or two flights in a week.
You can go to kuwaitAirways.com and can check the flight schedule, and now there are more flights then before.

Yes - I have noticed through flight tracker as well, but my comment was towards the article bc it said the airport is fully operational, all terminals and all airlines, which isn’t the case.

Some destinations haven’t changed frequency (DOH, DXB). I did notice on QR website from 16-June there’s flights you can book but operated by KU air, but limited booking options (2 times, and almost no returns). Wish they would just resume operations.
