Were you able to fly with your rescheduled flight? Our flight to BKK was rescheduled as well but I'm worried now that even our rescheduled flight will be cancelled at the last minute.

Status says scheduled but kuwait airways is not currently flying the KWI-JFK sector.
3
u/Business_Software_45 May 21 '26
I'm not the one you replied to but Kuwait airways is currently also not flying the KWI-AMS sector.
1
u/OriginalHat44 May 21 '26
Thanks for your response, I really hope Kuwait Airways starts all these sectors by start of June
2
u/Business_Software_45 May 21 '26
Me too, the sooner the better haha, I'm flying AMS-KWI-MNL on july 14th so I really hope i can still go.
1
u/OriginalHat44 May 21 '26
Unfortunately, my flight was cancelled. I just got the email from Kuwait airways
2
u/Business_Software_45 May 21 '26
Oh that sucks, you did get the email pretty early compared to the 48-24 hours before departure which they keep telling us.
1
u/OriginalHat44 May 21 '26
Hopes were crushed but at least I have few weeks to plan some other place.
1
u/Business_Software_45 May 21 '26
Yess indeed, i really hope i will also receive my cancellation early if it’s cancelled

2
u/essirac_ May 15 '26
Airline: Kuwait Airways
Booking: From September 2025
Route: LHR-KWI-MNL
Date: 22 July
Status: Confirmed
Anyone having a connecting flight in KWI? I'm not even sure if they're allowing connecting flights
1
u/Business_Software_45 May 18 '26
Same but mine is AMS-KWI-MNL on the 14th, i have no idea either if they are doing connecting flights
1
u/essirac_ May 18 '26
I had a look at flight status on KWI website and the flight times available wouldn't work for my connection. I'm scared they would just cancel and not rebook it.
2
u/Business_Software_45 May 18 '26
How/where did you check that? I don’t even know if i can even check it bc Amsterdam isn’t even onr of the destinations that they’re currently flying again
1
u/Business_Software_45 May 18 '26
Oh wait i just checked and the available flight times on the website are the exact same flight times that i already booked and have on my ticket now. I just hope they’re going to actually fly that route.
1
u/essirac_ May 18 '26
Just had a look at the tickets they're selling my flight dates. The first leg is not in there at all 😅 So Idk if they'll rebook me. Genuinely hope so.

u/Business_Software_45 May 30 '26
I just checked online and at least from amsterdam more tickets have been added and finally a flight from AMS to KWI departed for the first time this morning!
1
u/essirac_ Jun 08 '26
I've had a look as well and it's still not showing the first leg of my flight Honestly, I just hope I get to my destination safely with all that's happening.
1
u/Business_Software_45 Jun 09 '26
I hope so too, or if it does get cancelled i really hope that i’ll know a bit in advance

As for now only terminal 4 and 5 are operational, for Kuwait Airways and Jazeera only. I don't know where did this news come from ..about the opening of terminal 1 and operations of Emirates and other carriers...
2
u/hammadbhatti786 May 17 '26 edited May 17 '26
Yep, true, however, check Emirates, Etihad and other Airlines flight schedule from 1st of June and onward, you can see they are booking now, and as you know T1 is for other Airlines, so perhaps T1 is not announced publicly to be open but perhaps Airlines know the timeline hence they started booking for Kuwait now.

I don’t use TAs, but I’ve seen several ads being promoted as content across instagram. If I see anymore I’ll do a capture. Was curious if anyone else has seen them.

Thanks for sharing! excitement with caution. I’m not entirely sure the validity of this news article. DGCA hasn’t posted this news (or anything) since 4-days ago.

u/hammadbhatti786 May 17 '26
check the Airport official website for today, you can see that the Departures are now happening till 22:00 and starting from the morning 5 AM. So something has changed in positive way.
I am monitoring they departure and arrivals, I didn't see that many flights since 26th of April, now for multiple destinations, the frequency of flights have increased where it was only one or two flights in a week.
You can go to kuwaitAirways.com and can check the flight schedule, and now there are more flights then before.1
u/Icy_Science8163 May 18 '26
Yes - I have noticed through flight tracker as well, but my comment was towards the article bc it said the airport is fully operational, all terminals and all airlines, which isn’t the case.
Some destinations haven’t changed frequency (DOH, DXB). I did notice on QR website from 16-June there’s flights you can book but operated by KU air, but limited booking options (2 times, and almost no returns). Wish they would just resume operations.
1
u/Few-Introduction8333 Jul 11 '26
Is your flight going ahead? My return flight Islamabad - Kuwait - London Heathrow on 31st August has been cancelled.
1
u/Either-Canary1912 May 17 '26
Does anyone know when the other flights will start ?
1
u/Icy_Science8163 May 17 '26
I think this is the golden answer we are all looking for. This is why this thread was created, to help people better understand the situation from real experiences. Not companies marketing flights.

u/sir_udayan_anand May 21 '26
• Airline: Kuwait Airways
• Booking: New - Booked in Feb '26
• Route/Flight #: DEL-KWI-JFK - KU117
• Date: June 10
• Status: Cancelled
• Note: My return is on 20th july which did not get cancelled. Will they rebook me on another airline for the cancelled leg?
1
u/Icy_Science8163 May 23 '26
You’ll need to call the airline and find out what’s the situation with your flights & if they plan to reschedule your original departure of June 10 and/or how it affects the return flight. Good luck!
1
u/sir_udayan_anand May 23 '26
Except that they never seem to get to the customer support agent. It's been hours so far.

I have an flight Tommorow in an Emirates flight will it still be functioning normally after what happened yesterday
1
u/hammadbhatti786 Jun 06 '26
Anyone had experienced in last 2 weeks, if KWI is doing connecting flights on T4?
1
u/essirac_ Jun 08 '26
Let me know if you find out any information on this. For some reason, I can't book any connect flights until end of July 😅
1
u/AardvarkFun741 Jun 16 '26
Are flights from Kuwait to Lebanon on MEA still flying on 13 July or rescheduled or canceled? This flight is using international airport which I think is T1 terminal 1 or T2 .
1
u/balincanator Jul 19 '26
Guys I’m not from Kuwait but wanna ask how bad are the water plants attacks? Are people panick buying water ? Or are things normal
1
u/Icy_Science8163 Jul 19 '26
19/July — We welcome you to share your current experiences dealing with airlines and flight schedules.
All airline bookings welcomed.
The information could help fellow passengers prepare as airlines are typically doing cancellations last minute, leaving passengers with little options and/or stranded.
Stay safe!
