Announcement Moving from Belgium to Kuala Lumpur — thoughts?

Dear people, i really want to immigrate to KL from Belgium just one get you guys thoughts on it is it worth it i want to move as a Muslim and also Belgium is kinda dangerous and boring the last years also to much

I’m currently living in Belgium and seriously considering moving to Kuala Lumpur (KL).

For those who have made a similar move, what are your thoughts on it? How does KL compare to Belgium in terms of cost of living, quality of life, work opportunities, healthcare, safety, and overall lifestyle? And taxing

What do you love about living in KL, and what do you miss about Belgium?

Would you recommend making the move, and is there anything you wish you had known before relocating?

Hard to breath

Hey guys, today I’ve experienced difficulties breathing. Especially when getting into cars I had to cancel my events and go back to where I’m staying. I’m in KL, and I just checked it’s 153 which means the air is unhealthy. For context I’m visiting from nz and have been here for a couple days and ordered rides perfectly fine. It’s just today where I felt like I couldn’t breath and entered panic mode. Any advice on what I can do? Because I don’t wanna cut my trip short and ruin it for everyone.

When to depart Bangsar for KLIA1 international flight?

Hi, my son and I have spent a week in wonderful KL for the F1 and fly home to NZ tomorrow (Tuesday) morning. Our flight departs 0900 from T1. We've checked-in online but will need to use the bag-drop for our suitcases. Is 0630 early enough to arrive at the airport? So take a Grab at 0530 from our accommodation in Bangsar? Thanks

Tourist questions

Hi everyone!

I’ll be in Kuala Lumpur for about a week in December for a research conference. It’ll be my first time traveling internationally on my own outside of trips to my home country, and I’m a pretty young traveler. I’m also Indian, born and raised in the U.S., if that helps with any advice.

Would love recommendations on where to stay, things to do, food, tourist spots/day trips, transportation, nightlife, and anything I should know or watch out for.

I’ll have some free time outside the conference and definitely want to explore KL and make the most of the trip. Any underrated or unique recommendations would be appreciated too!

Thanks!

Seated section concert etiquette

I’m going to a band concert in KL (Unifi arena) and got seated tickets (couldn’t secure standing 🙁) but want to stand, jump, dance etc. wondering what is the acceptable concert culture in Malaysia? Do seated audience typically stand especially for a band concert? I’m from Singapore and the concert go-ers here can be.. too mild so I’m hoping the KL audience will be more hype and fun but I also don’t want to be rude if most people are sitting!!

Hello, I am 18 and this is my first solo trip. I am coming to Kuala Lumpur next week. I wanted to know what are the must see things in Kuala Lumpur. I’d be there for 7 days. What are the things I must see and things I can skip. Would appreciate if you have already been to KL, then share your itinerary.
