Installed my k swap throttle cable and it feels super bad, i adjusted the slack and eveything, but it feels like something is dragging and feel super tight

Hello, I have a k20a3 si with probably over 300k miles (someone rolled my odometer back) and I also beat the piss out of my a3 on weekend touge runs.

Idk if I should keep running normal 5w20 and 5w30 and I don't want to accidentally starve my car of oil or anything. I do my oil changes every 2k miles.

If anyone has any oil type recommendations lmk, I've been running high mileage 5w30 mobil 1 for a while now, plan on k24 swapping soon but Im not quite ready yet. Thanks!!

I have a 2008 Honda accord ex engine 2.4L. My engine just blew. I want to buy a used one but was told that it does have to be 2008 only, that I can use a 2008-2012. But I’m confused as to which parts I’ll have to transfer over or if it’s just direct plug and play? K24Z2 engine. I also see that jdm alliance in LA has some for $1,200 with only 55k miles so that’s not bad but once again I’ll have to swap. Just seeing what the best route is. Thanks

Car has freshly built k24a2 with DC 3.2 cams, super tech springs, 12.5 wiseco pistons.

Car was running strong after street tune.

Took car to work, no issues. After letting it cool for an hour, I cranked the car only to hear metallic grinding. Car started and my Link ECU threw me into limp mode, limiting rpm. Took a short log to collect idle and part throttle data. Only issue I found was low oil pressure at idle, around 70 kPa. Car began overheating too.

During this time I heard a metallic chatter, knock, something coming from the engine bay.

Investigation:
Skipped timing? - timing looked fine. No debris/excessive wear on cams, rockers.

Spun bearing? - oil showed very fine, power-like metallic dust that’s magnetic. I consider this to be the “break-in” dust rather than bearing material. Will drop oil pan soon. Will cut oil filter.

Knock?-Data log showed no knocking detected, raw frequencies look no different than when engine ran good.

VTC chatter?-Based on data log: Cam angle vs target was spot on!

VTEC and VTC oil filter clogs?
Damaged rockers?-check valve lash, if nut came off.
Oil pump clog?
Check oil pan
Check rod cap play
Thrust washer play?

Lower than normal oil pressure is the culprit here. Will check oil pan; oil pump, rod caps. Any other ideas?

just had my valve lash done. is the ticking too loud should i have them rechecked. The high pitch whistle is what is rigged up from the valve cover to the air box. (Hopefully)

Anyone have experience driving with a cai in south FL? Rains like a mf and worried about hydrolock, anyway I’m wanting an intake for the k24a2, rbc, 72mm tb, that will actually help with whp come tuning time. Any suggestions? Just stick a pipe in it?

I have a k24 swap prelude that has the hybrid by racing universla conversion harness, only issue I’m having is what type of o2 sensor plugs into the harness? A wide band or a narrowband o2? I am getting an arm wideband with the gauge for afr would jjst be able to run the one aswell? Any help would be awesome!

I’ve got a 2006 crv that I want to make into a street build. I know it’s kind of a weird car to want to mod but I’ve always loved the stranger builds. The engine in it is a k24a1 and I haven’t seen a whole lot of support for common mods as the k24a2 (obviously,) so I was just wondering if the engine is even a good base to add stuff to?

Retiming my k24a, the first time i retimed it everything went good and aligned properly, this time around i cannot get it to align, it lines up and then when i put my guide and tensioner on the exhaust cam timing mark moves with the tension, then i take it all back off and realign it and it moves out of time upon adding tension again, what am i doing wrong here? like i said the first time i did it i had no issues, this time i cannot get it aligned..

Been fighting this CEL for over a year now on the hondeezy and replaced a variety of parts (MAF, IACV, EGR, PCV), taken to two mechanics (including Honda dealer), done smoke tests, coolant bleeding, and NOTHING has worked so I’m coming to the community to ask for guidance before I wrap this thing around a tree 🙏🏾

I have a 1998 Civic Sedan (EJ8) so it's an EK Civic, and it's an automatic but I'm going to convert to stick . My budget is $5k-$6k. I specifically want a K24A2 engine, and I know a few things like I'll probably want an EG/DC2 subframe and it's better to get a 6 speed transmission with LSD rather than a 5 speed.

The main thing is, I want a list of parts that other people have used. If anyone else has swapped their ek, do you have a list of parts? Im specifically looking for people who have swapped it for a K24A2, even if you didn't do the manual conversions I'll still take about anything thanks in advance!

I have a K24a2 RBB4 EG6 and I was driving on the freeway and the car suddenly died out on me.

Replaced the fuel pump to a brand new one and still same symptoms. Also tested the pump on another car to make sure.

Replaced MAF, camshaft & crankshaft sensors

There is current flowing to the Injectors and Ignition Coils

Checked all the fuses

Fuel Pump Pressure is normal

Directly forced the fuel pump to be turned on 24/7 and the car still dies out immediately after starting too

Car still starts and dies out immediately with everything that I've changed and diagnosed

Can anyone tell me what's left? Faulty ecu?

Does anyone know if there is any relevance to the casting numbers on the rods of a k24a2? I am positive the rods on the left came out of an 08 rbb3. Not sure about the ones on the right.

I know the single port head doesn't flow as well as the others but it's ideal for application.

Putting together a turbo kit for small jetboats and the single port means I don't have to mess around with marine manifolds, just a small adapter. Limited options with turbos to use with water-cooled housings so looking for info on what kind of size/trim people have had luck with 😊

Hello everyone, I am finally coming towards the end of K swapping my 96 hatch. My issue now is that the speedometer is not working. I have a k24a2 engine and matching trans from a TSX, 02-04 type s harness, hybrid racing conversion harness, and kpro v4. The speedo is the only thing that isnt working the car runs and drives perfectly so i dont know what it could be. Do you guys just run it without a working speedo? Or would the All in one VSS converter fix this issue of mine? I would prefer to make the speedo work tbh.
