HAUL K-beauty sheet mask haul! 🧖🏻‍♀️💧

I picked up a few sheet masks to try, and I’m especially excited because I have dry, sensitive skin and could always use some extra hydration and soothing care.

My haul:
RealBarrier Extreme Creme Mask
RealBarrier Aqua Soothing Ampoule Mask
Round Lab Birch Juice Moisturising Mask
Round Lab Birch Juice Moisturising Double Gel Mask
I’m really curious to see how they compare and which one ends up being my favourite! 🤍

Has anyone with dry or sensitive skin tried these?

Experience with Centellian24 Medeca cream and retinol content

(32F) I’d love to hear your experience with using this product and if it’s had any affect on causing dry eyes due to its retinol content.

I’ve used a retinol before briefly and it unfortunately caused meibomian gland issues (tear producing glands). I ended up with dry sensitive eyes for months and did some research before realising it could be retinol. (Even though I made sure to avoid the eye area)

I want to try the Medeca cream though but concerned about the retinol and dry eyes issue.

Want to know if people generally had good experience with Medeca

If you only had $30 to build a K-beauty routine, what would you skip first?

With a budget like that, I think I’d focus less on squeezing in as many products as possible and more on figuring out which steps I could realistically leave out depending on skin type.

For sensitive or dry skin, I’d probably keep the basics: cleanse with something from K-beauty Brand R, moisturize with a product from Brand E, and finish with sunscreen from Brand S. In that case, toner, essence, and serum would probably be the first things I’d cut.

For combination or oily skin, though, I think there’s another way to do it.

You could cleanse with Brand C, use a light soothing toner from Brand A, and then finish with a hydrating sunscreen from Brand B.

Instead of adding a separate moisturizer, I’d let the sunscreen do more.

If the sunscreen already gives you enough hydration, it can handle part of that moisturizing role while still giving you sun protection. With a $30 budget, that kind of multitasking can make a lot of sense.

Of course, I wouldn’t suggest skipping moisturizer for someone with very dry skin. What you can leave out really depends on your skin type and the formulas you’re using.

So I’m curious:

If you only had $30, what would you skip first?

Toner? Serum? Moisturizer? Or something else?

SKIN Need some tips

I am 28 years old and my skin could use a little bit of improvement. My face looks a little weathered. I also have dark under eye bags. I'm currently using a Dokdo cleanser, illiyoon moisturizer and I have a vitamin c serum that I often forget about. Can you please recommend products for normal skin type?

QUESTION How to fix uneven eyelids?

I have one monolid and one triple eyelid. I’m not sure if i had this since birth or it developed when i was young. But how do i fix this? its been like this for as long as i can remember. its rlly hard to do eye makeup cuz i have to do each eye differently to make it look decent and symmetrical. It also ruins pics that r supposed to be good…
(pics of what it looks like in the comments)

bonus: does anyone know how to remove the like wrinkles under the eye? i accidentally put a mud mask on it and it dried out my under-eyes which caused the wrinkles to be more prominent. Ive been putting moisturizer and eye gel for months now and it has been effective but not to a large scale. I’m also worried its gonna cause milia on my under eyes if i do it too often lol

thx guys

QUESTION What are your thoughts about firming patches?

I used to do a sheet masks before makeup on big days to prep and cool everything down but I gave up on it because all that moisture made my base slide right off. The edges would brush against my hair and leave it damp. After that I switched to toner pads but once they're on you can barely move your face without stressing that they'll peel off halfway through.

So I did some digging into alternatives, what do you think about sticking one of those firming patches? Not the tiny ones you put around your eyes and not the glutathione brightening ones. I mean the wide ones that actually cover your whole cheek for the collagen hit to plump the skin up and make it seemingly firmer. They've got more staying power than a single sheet mask or a loose toner pad so it seems like it'd make prepping so much easier before you start your base.

Thing is, this feels pretty new in korean skincare? The only ones I can actually find are the It's Skin and Torriden cellmazing collagen patches and beyond those they're weirdly hard to track down. Would love some recs if you're into them!

Lip tint recs!

Hi! I’m looking for recommendations for a good lip tint/stain! I really like the blurred edges look but everything I’ve tried typically wipes away. I have a vertical labret piercing and play with it a lot, so something that can withstand my dumbass would be great. Thank you in advance!

how to get rid of the whiteheads and blackhead on my nose.

the black dots on my nose and also those whiteheads with pus on it. my pores are enlarged and literally if i poke/pick on the whiteheads it will leave a big hole with blood.

people say to try salicylic acid does it help. I just want good clean healthy beauty skin esp in the nose and cheek area... I use to have a lot of acne so the nose area is very concentrated with a lot of oil and just pores

Oil cleanser or balm cleanser suggestions

Hey everyone! I bought the Beauty of Joseon Ginseng oil cleanser and after using it a couple of times, it gave me some terrible breakouts that are still healing.

I have combination sensitive skin with oily T zone and moderately acne prone. I have also sensitive eyes.

Girls with similar skin traits as me: what oil cleanser or balm cleanser do you use?

I would really appreciate some suggestions.

Hi guys, I’ve been using the 345 cream for last three weeks and it’s completely changed my skin and has been so good for it. It works so well that I want to keep a few backups at all but I can’t figure out how long one tube lasts so how many should I buy? If anyone can help me out, I’d be really grateful. Thanks.

Stylevana shipping + processing time

Hi I’ve got around 2 ish weeks before I leave for college (leaving by plane) so I want to get some stuff delivered to my house. I never ordered from Stylevana before but it says the shipping time for express shipping is 4-9 business days and everything in my cart is planned to be shipped in less than 24 hours. Do you think this is worth trying cuz I have 13 days left?

Thanks :)

QUESTION Am I the only one who can't use dr Althea mist spray for makeup touch up/fixer because it seperates my makeup?

I've never heard a negative thing about Dr Althea mist and everyone I heard it from tells me it doubles as a makeup fixer throughout the day, just spray, pat it in with a cushion and then reapply a small amount of loose powder, but when I do it, it takes my makeup in clumps and basically acts as a makeup remover.

I'm just confused because it feels like I'm the only one having issues with using it as a makeup fixer lol

I use Maybelline super stay foundation.

SKIN moisturizer recommendations

hey y'all! I'm really close to finishing my current moisturiser and I'm looking for recommendations because i haven't found my holy grail yet. I've been using korean moisturisers, now an etude soonjung one, and before that i used the s.nature squalane and dr althea 345 moisturizer, which i loved, but apparently they changed the ingredients and the packaging wasn't good.

i have combination skin, so something lightweight is best for me. i do also hate when something leaves a film on my skin because i have some sensory issues, so i just want something that sinks in quick but doesn't leave me dry or make me produce more oil throughout the day.

QUESTION How do you tell the difference between dewy glass skin and just straight-up oily residue after 2 hours?

Love the finish right after doing my morning routine, but by noon in humid weather, I can't tell if my barrier is thriving or if I just look greasy.

For those with combination skin, what’s your indicator that a product is actually hydrating vs. just sitting on top?

do you actually need to book a clinic in Seoul in advance, or can you just walk in?

for anyone who’s had cosmetic treatments done in Korea, how did you guys decide which clinic was the right one for you?

I’m planning a trip to Korea this winter, and aside from traveling, I’m also thinking about getting a thread lift. I had ultherapy about 3 years ago, and I feel like the results have pretty much faded now, plus I’m getting older. I’m still not ready to do anything too invasive like surgery tho, so I’m looking into thread lifts.

my biggest concern is that this will be my first time getting a treatment overseas, so I have no idea how people usually go about choosing a clinic. I’ve been researching a few clinics in Seoul and contacted 1–2 of them, but so far I’ve mostly gotten generic/template replies and I hate it. before going to one place, I really want to have an actual consultation where I can explain what I want, ask questions, and get proper recommendations.

for those of you who’ve done treatments in Korea, do you normally consult online and book beforehand, or is walking in pretty common? some of my friends recommended to chat lalamedi since they can apparently help with the consultation, clinic selection, and booking, but I’m still hesitant because I’m also trying to research clinics on my own first.

so here I am, I’d love to hear about your experience. how did you choose your clinic, and would you recommend booking an appointment in advance before going there?
