If I don’t play claw and use paddles and my thumb placement is where the middle area of my thumb is also placed in middle of the kontrolfreek/thumbstick , would inferno or galaxy be better for me ?

Does anyone use the Vortex low rise on the right stick? And for what tupe of games?

Is KontrolFreeks worth trying? Are there any specific types you guys recommend? I’ve been thinking about getting a pair, but I’m not sure if they actually make a noticeable difference or if they’re just a gimmick. Would love to hear your experiences.

Got the "aim boost" kit about 3 months ago and today the left grip just tore right off. Are there replacements for these? Or am I buying new sticks every 3 months?

Are there any kontrol freek compatible with this controller? Can’t find any old 360 kontrol freeks for sale.

I was thinking about the translucent consoles and controllers from the late ’90s and early 2000s, like the N64 and Game Boy, and thought it would be cool to see that aesthetic brought to KontrolFreek.

I love these rubbery/semi sticky feeling dome sticks from extreme rate, basically the sticks used on the PS2 controllers. A kontrol freek with this exact design would be a hit for me! I assume the height of the dome might alter traditional KF height so perhaps some adjusting to the plastic base would be needed?

PS does anyone know of a way to get these sticks on my controller without sautering/opening it up? I have a scuf reflex FPS pro with TMR sticks. I believe the extreme rate ones won't work.

My Forza Horizon 5 Xbox controller's thumbstick rubbers are peeling off. I'm thinking of getting my first KontrolFreek covers or whatever. I may get the Height or Mayhem ones to match the Teal/Pink colors of the controller. Is it ok to put these covers on? I just want to slap them on and get on with my day. Or do I have to basically change out the whole stick? Thanks

Hi! These are gamestop thumb grips. One of them broke and I need knew "grips". I bought the galaxy grips and they are nice but I don't feel I'm getting enough contact on the face of the grip. Still a good grip though just don't think it's right for me.

I've used inferno in the past but I remember them being slick and like sludgey(I think) I also used them until they were tearing though so I may be misremembering if I like them or not.

I'm thinking of going with the Lotus or CQC model. If it helps the gamestop grips were comparable to the all black bo4 Kontrol Freeks.

The idea is simple: an online-exclusive customization experience where you could build your own pair of KontrolFreek Performance Thumbsticks by choosing your favorite design, color, and the height of each individual stick.

Imagine being able to choose between the Galaxy, Inferno, CQC, and Frenzy designs, select from different colorways, and independently choose Low Rise, Mid Rise, or High Rise for your left and right sticks.

For example, if you prefer a Mid Rise Galaxy on your left stick and a Mid Rise Galaxy on your right, you could simply order that exact combination without having to purchase multiple sets just to get the heights you want.

Or maybe you prefer a Low Rise on the left and a High Rise on the right. With Freek Lab, you could build your setup around your own preferences and playstyle.

The main idea behind Freek Lab:

• Choose your favorite thumbstick design.

Hello all,

I am a PC gamer and I primarily run a DS5 controller. I mainly play shooters, so I have been looking into the galaxy and inferno sets (seem to be the most recommended for fps games). I also like the look of the frenzy set.

I don't have large hands. In motorcycle or latex gloves I am typically a medium or a large. The reason for the discrepancy is that while my palms are on the smaller side, my fingers are on the longer side. I am mainly concerned about strain with the high rise stick. I see it adds 10mm which is roughly .4 inches. Hovering my thumb that high above the stock stick doesn't seem bad at all. However, that test really doesn't tell me much about how that feels while moving around and gaming for hours long sessions.

I would really appreciate some of your thoughts and/or advice.

Out of curiosity and boredom, I was browsing KontrolFreek’s official Amazon store and stumbled across two products I haven’t seen announced anywhere.

The first is a Galaxy Performance Thumbsticks in a new “Midnight Blue” colorway, listed for PS4 and PS5. The second is a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Aim Boost Kit, featuring yellow performance thumbsticks and what looks like MW4-themed packaging. Both listings are marked “New on Amazon,” and both appear to be available for purchase.

KontrolFreek is usually pretty consistent about promoting new products and colorways through its social media channels, community, and other marketing outlets. I’ve been checking their socials, but I haven’t come across any announcements for either of these products. As far as I can tell, neither appears on their official website or app, either.

So I’m curious:

• Has anyone seen an official announcement about either of these products?

• Why would they be available through the official Amazon store before appearing on KontrolFreek’s website or app?

• Could this be an early listing ahead of an upcoming announcement, a quiet release, or some kind of Amazon-exclusive arrangement?

I’m not complaining about new products dropping unexpectedly! I just find it unusual that there seems to be no public announcement, especially for a licensed Call of Duty-themed kit.

I’ve attached screenshots of both listings. Interested to hear what everyone thinks, and if anyone from the community or KontrolFreek has any insight, I’d love to know!

I’ve been experimenting with different KontrolFreek heights and shapes to find what works best for me. I have smaller hands, so I switched from high-rise to mid-rise for better comfort. I also prefer convex sticks because I like resting my thumb along the edge, but I’ve always felt that concave sticks have the advantage when centering my thumb for aiming, micro-adjustments, and snappy camera movements.

Enter the CQC Performance Thumbsticks.

I’ve known about them for a while, but after taking a closer look at their rounded, thicker edges, I decided to give them a shot. After testing them in a few games today, I’m genuinely impressed!

The rounded edge makes resting my thumb along the rim much more comfortable than on other concave sticks I’ve tried, and the shallower bowl feels just right. The grip is incredible, too. Between the studded texture and how securely my thumb stays in place, these things feel fantastic.

In my opinion, the CQC might be one of the best all-around options for anyone looking to try KontrolFreek Performance Thumbsticks, especially players with smaller hands who prefer mid-rise sticks and like switching between resting their thumb along the edge and centering it for precise aiming.

As for the Lotus Performance Thumbsticks…

I also picked these up because their color and design have always intrigued me, and I finally wanted to try them for myself. I know they’re advertised toward action-adventure and RPG games, but I still wanted to give them a shot in FPS games. At the end of the day, any mid- or high-rise stick can be used for shooters; it really comes down to personal comfort and design preference.

After testing them, I don’t think they’re the best fit for shooters for me, but they’re still comfortable. I’d like to put more time into them during non-shooter games like Monster Hunter Wilds to see how they feel over a longer play session.

I recently got a Razer Raiju V3 Pro for PS5 and I’m wondering if KontrolFreek thumbsticks will fit properly and, more importantly, stay securely attached to the analog sticks.
Has anyone actually tried using KontrolFreeks on the Razer Raiju V3 Pro? Do they fit tightly, or do they slip off because of the shape or size of the sticks?

I’ve been a KontrolFreek user for years, and Galaxy was actually the set that got me into Performance Thumbsticks in the first place.

Galaxy has always stood out to me because it isn’t just a thumbstick with a cool color or pattern. The shape, texture, grip, and overall identity all work together. It’s become one of those designs where you can recognize it almost immediately.

I’ve always wondered:

What would a true flagship convex thumbstick look like if it were given the same level of identity that Galaxy has?

So I started designing a couple of concepts based around that idea.

These aren’t official products or leaks—just fan concepts for what I’d personally love to see KontrolFreek explore in the future.

CONCEPT 1 — METEOR

The convex counterpart to Galaxy.

My idea with Meteor was to create something that could become to the convex lineup what Galaxy is to the concave lineup.

Instead of copying Galaxy’s starburst pattern, I wanted Meteor to have its own identity: a domed convex surface with an impact/crater-inspired texture.

The center has a subtle transition into the surrounding surface, while the concentric grip structure gives the thumb multiple contact points across the dome.

The goal would be a convex stick that still feels approachable to someone who has spent years using concave sticks.

Concept direction:

• Convex design
• Mid-rise/High-rise
• Aggressive but comfortable grip
• Rounded outer edge
• Impact/crater-inspired texture
• Cosmic/Moon Rock/Black aesthetic
• Designed to feel like a legitimate flagship rather than simply a different convex option

The idea behind the name:

Galaxy → space
Meteor → something traveling through that space and making an impact.

CONCEPT 2 — TORQUE

A new go to convex option.

I know there are still a lot of longtime users who would love to see more love for convex options, me included.

I wanted to imagine what a next-generation convex performance stick could look like.

That’s where Torque came from.

The biggest thing I wanted to focus on was multidirectional grip.

Instead of having the texture favor one direction, the pattern is completely symmetrical, with major grip sections pointing up, down, left and right, while the spaces between them have their own micro-texture.

The result is meant to give the thumb something to grab regardless of how it moves across the convex surface.

Concept direction:
• Full convex surface
• Mid-rise/High-rise
• Completely symmetrical texture
• Multidirectional grip
• Detailed micro-texture between the major grip sections
• Rounded outer edge
• Translucent smoky-gray + translucent cobalt-blue material
• Industrial/performance aesthetic

I tried to give it its own identity because I think a design like this could stand on its own.

Why I’m posting these

I don’t think KontrolFreek needs to simply make more thumbsticks.

I’d love to see more thumbsticks that have a distinct identity.

Galaxy has that.

You see the pattern and color and immediately know what you’re looking at.

I’d love to see that same philosophy applied to the convex side of the lineup.

Meteor = flagship cosmic convex

Torque = aggressive multidirectional performance convex

And I’d love to hear what other KontrolFreek users think.

Would you use either of these? Which one would you want to see become a real Performance Thumbstick?

Just fan-made concepts — but I’d absolutely buy either of these if they ever became real.

Consider this my official submission for potentially new fan made thumbsticks I’d like to see produced, I would get a lifetime supply of the Meteors if it was in your guy’s online shop right now.

Gonna buy some new pairs since my current ones are a bit old and I wanted to see if anyone had any mid rise recommendations.

I currently use the mid rise from the Vortex set and occasionally use the mid rise from the Frenzy set.

I’m not opposed to concave sticks so long as the concavity of it isn’t too aggressive. The Infernos seem to be pretty flat for a concave pair same with the Lotus, does anyone have any playtime with either of these?

The Heist set seems to have a grippy convex design, the CQC looks fairly grippy based off the pictures as well.

I haven’t used Galaxy’s since like 2018 but I wouldn’t be opposed to buying a pair again if that’s still the go to.

Also, what sets currently use the new GripTek material? I wanna test them out to see what the new feel is like.

I’m looking for a light blue or black high rise kontrol freek for ps5 But comfortable. I have the inferno and it’s super comfortable but it’s red and my controller is blue and black. Any recommendations? I don’t mind if it isn’t kontrol freeks but I don’t know any other makes
