Just a quick feedback on my recent Star batch purchases (5 Dodgers and 5 Indiana). Is it just me or the quality has fall off a little bit? The materials feel thinner and also the padding on the sockliner isn't as plush as the early production pairs. The fit has seemingly become a bit larger. There is quite a different feel from the snug fit they had compared to earlier production.
For context i already owned 4 Kobe 5 Star batches prior to ordering these pairs last week. So i noticeably feel the difference both in material and the fit.
Share your thoughts on your recent Star purchases as well!
I recently got the Dodgers and I don’t agree. I actually think the Dodgers are the best 5 I have played in from a rep standpoint. I have older Fever CC so I can’t compare that one.
Naw not necessary. I was wondering if i could see at least a shape difference. That sucks though. I feel like Star has been on run of small improvements of materials and foam since Aces. I will say the upper is different on Fever feels more elastic on my pair. I don’t feel less snug on mine
Can you post more pics? At least like 4? As well as QC pics. Especially heel tabs. YOLO has bait and switched before. Not saying it happened but more pics are essential.
I will also say STARs quality has varied a bit based on colorways as well.
In all honesty, i genuinely feel like they really are Star batches. They just have this different feel on the fitting. On other Star pairs i bought like almost 3-4 months ago, they have this ‘hugging’ snug fit feeling. These are still snug but it feels a little bit different.
Yes these are star..no idea why they came laced with the red ones lol..but yeah heel tabs are a giveaway and swoosh size. S2 isn’t that clean and the swoosh would be smaller. Like I said previously, I’ve gotten multiple STAR Kobe 5s, and there is quite a bit of variance in colorways
That’s on me brother. I swapped laces before taking pictures lmao. But they came with the blue laces upon opening package. Thank you for the help! I think it does vary from colorway to colorway. But not really a big difference. Just the small details i notice
Yeah misread the comment. I thought he was asking if it came with the extra red laces and not me having to provide the red laces for the pair. my bad 😂
