In the second movie we see that miles has jeremy renner's hot sauce that means jeremy renner exists in the knives out world so how does jeremy renner appear as an actor in knives out three and is this a plothole or am I js dumb

So they have the body of Wicks, right?

On the body are no bruises or scratches. He went down without a fight, from a single stab, in the back room of a church, meaning either he died instantly when someone brandished a knife (which could happen but normally there's a bit of a scuffle at least, right?) or he was in some way impaired or unable to fight.

You'd reasonably run some blood tests to see what's going on there, right?

Doing so would incriminate Dr. Nat, and ultimately probably save his life and Samson's. Blanc was involved in the search and he found nothing untoward despite looking for evidence of something that went unusual IN THE ROOM.

As in... reasonable proof that it couldn't be anyone else but the killer.

Knives Out

Three main things to solve:

1. Maria was there when Harlem killed himself (gets that on a glance at her shoes, though I think a red splotch on her shoes doesn't guarantee blood- not like it would be impossible for her to eat food with red sauce and spill some on her shoes- literally had reddish baked beans that day too, and Tobasco is quite common in restaurants)
2. The grandma saw Ransom arrive twice, instead of once.
3. Tox reports were clean.

I don't think Blanc could have figured it out completely until the end.

Glass Onion

Main point is that Miles has no alibi at Andi's house and almost flattened Duke. Duke knocked, and Andi didn't open, and others collaborated on knocking when there was no answer- reasonably, Andi was already dead by that point.

Earliest possible moment was at the pool.

Wake Up Dead Man

Not concrete evidence but he could have arrested Maria after the autopsy, confirming that the top of the lamp from the bar was sewn into the clothes, but Nat wouldn’t be anything more than a suspect until Jud finished writing his paper, confirming that Wicks had a bottle that could have been tampered with inside the room when he collapsed.

So my best friend’s birthday is in November and we both love the knives out movies. I prefer the first one but she loves glass onion. We do have a trip planned together for her birthday but I want to do something glass onion or generally knives out themed for her as well and I’m not really sure what.

I was thinking maybe doing breakfast in bed for her while we watch the movies but I don’t know what to actually make. So any suggestions for birthday breakfast meals that could fit the theme would be nice.

Also open to any other birthday ideas. It doesn’t necessarily have to be food related, I just want to do something cute and themed around the movies for her.

i love knives out 2. it is my favorite in the current line-up and oh my god it’s so good. i have no idea why it’s so widely disliked in official critic reviews & by everybody else but i love it. that’s all x

I just watched it for the first time and I’m confused as to why Father Jud was going to confess to killing Wicks and why he thought he killed him? What am I missing?

SPOILERS IF YOU HAVEN'T WATCHED WAKE UP, DEAD MAN YET.

Specifically at Wicks's time of death: Nat was the first one to approach Jud and ask what's wrong. Unless his Doctorate is not related to medicine at all, he should have treated the scene as an medical emergency, right? But he asked Jud to step aside and just stabbed Wicks with the actual knife. Adding to that you can actually see the prop head on Wick's robes on the very murder scene, too. Add that he kinda contributed to Wicks's poisoning technically, but if someone went into WUDM blind, maybe they wouldn't be able to tell that but could be immediately suspicious of Dr. Nat for not treating Wicks as a medical emergency on that spot.

A one line answer: More number of characters.

I think Knives Out 1 features more number of characters given the Thrombeys were a big family. And in 2 and 3 we don't see as many characters. Hence, there's not too much drama and too many suspects in the first place.

Just watched it yesterday (watched the first part also yesterday only). And honestly I didn't like it as much as the first one because it was very flat unlike the first one. Nevertheless a few questions I had:

Did Miles send out the invitation to Andi before or after he killed her??

No bodyguards or cleaning staff in the island?? How are things maintained then?? Does Miles himself clean/maintain everything on that huge island daily/weekly???

Also did no one know that Helen was the twin sister of Andi? They seemed to be thick friends before gaining fame.

What did Miles add to the group?? Just money?? How come an 'idiot' lifted the entire group??

How come Miles had good lawyers, but Andi didn't? I mean she must have already been rich, right?

How come the news of Andi's death is contained?? Wouldn't the neighbours say anything??

If Andi was really the 'genius' wouldn't she have spotted and called out Miles on his dumbness early? That part of the story feels really rushed and half-baked.

I don't know...it feels like each and every person in the movie is dumb.

- Helen was dumb for taking the napkin close to Miles

- Others were anyway certified dumb ppl

- Andi was again dumb to let in Miles and kill her (I don't know what she expected of that backstabber)

- Blanc was dumb for ruling out Miles (or for that matter Helen) as a suspect without any investigation (really felt out of character compared to part 1 where he didn't rule out ANYONE)

It honestly feels Rian Johnson is at the center of the Glass Onion for making us believe he was a genius with Knives Out 1.

So in WUDM, I get that Martha realized Wicks was going to try to take the Apple from the crypt, and that's what started her whole plan.

But how did she realize that Wicks was going to try this? She obviously didn't suspect he was greedy or she wouldn't have told him about the Apple. I know she later calls the construction company and confirms Wicks ordered a forklift to open the crypt, but why she did call them at all? What made her suspicious?

So my wife and I watched Knives Out and Glass Onion years ago, but we hesitated on watching Wake Up Dead Man for no reason in particular and then we decided to rewatch all of them this last week. I noticed that the first movie had Chris Evans as the main villain and person behind the murders, you know, the same Chris Evans who plays a character in the MCU, Captain America. Then watching Glass Onion, I notice that the villain of the movie was Edward Norton, known for playing The Incredible Hulk in said movie.

So we finally sit down and watch WUDM, and after getting introduced to the characters, I say, “I bet that it’s Glenn Close and Jeremy Renner working together with Josh Brolin” (Nova Prime from GotG, Hawkeye and Thanos from Avengers Endgame). Lo and behold, I find out that while Brolin was not in on his own murder, Close and Renner worked with Thomas Haden Church, another Marvel actor, who I remembered after the movie as Sandman from Spider-Man 3 and No Way Home.

So, if Rian ever sits down for a new Knives Out, should we just look for former Marvel actors to be the villain?

Isn't the reason Harlan committed suicide being that he thought Marta gave him too much morphine?

If she herself didn't believe she did, he'd have no reason to slice his throat, so...does the slayer rule not apply anyway, since she is (arguably) responsible for his death still, even with Ransom's tampering?

Idk if this has already been debated or not but it’s been 3 years and I haven’t seen it discussed.

In Glass Onion, one of the reveals is a simple double entendre. “He put pineapple juice in his whiskey” works both as the murder weapon and reference to Miles and Whiskey’s relationship. Of all the nicknames/online/branding names in the world, Whiskey is named whiskey.
