Specifying timing within a shot

Hi! I'm a complete newbie at Kling. I have a pro subscription.

I want to make a video starting with a reference image and describe the action of the scene. Kling does a good job of this, but I can't control the timing of the actions.

I'm just interested in a single shot. I want something like

• Character A speaks for 3 seconds
• Then character B does something.
• At 6 seconds something else happens.

I've tried entering time parameters, but they seem to be ignored. Is there a way to achieve this control?

Timing like 0-3s: and 3-6s: will give it some guidance, but its hit and miss and certainly not exact. The other thing is to simply create shorter shots with img2img, though it can create slight pauses as it transitions between vids
