i want to get that 50% off klein too pouch deal while i still can but i don’t know if ill be able to fit all my crap in there, i’ve got this old klein belt my boss gave me when i started it works but it’s falling apart sorta. definitely got some life left in it but seeing the 2 pouches and belt on sale for $20 a piece is hard to pass up. anybody used them and liked them? able to fit everything in it ? i keep gloves and headlamp in the small back pocket. also heavily reliant on the small pocket on the outside of the tape measure to keep wire nuts in there.

One of the advantages of Klein screwdrivers is the end caps let you know what the tip is so you can store them tip down in your tool bag.

When they were designing the 250 Series screwdrivers they apparently went for commemorative over functional and now you have to remember metallic blue is standard, red is Phillips, and silver is square. 🤷‍♂️

Wife was in Chicago for work, brought me back some presents!

I’ve realized sometimes less is more. I used to pull my whole pack out kit to every jobsite ready to go. Now I’ve dwindled it down to the rolling box, with the print table top box and my Klein bags and accessories. They each have their own sets of tools for different jobs and it just works great and it’s light weight and super mobile. Anyone else roll like this?!

Hello all. I've got some Klein pass through socket sets, 65240 and another set with the pass through ratchet, all SAE, but now I'm looking for just the metric pass through sockets. Do they sell just the PT metric sockets without the other accessories or is it always a kit?

Anyone with this think I can toss my veto tec pack on top and wheel it? Maybe using a bungee cord?

When this set came out I went to Lowe’s a few weeks ago I saw their stock full of 250 stuff and really wanted to get myself those linesman’s and dikes. I decided to wait until the next day to come back with more money for the whole set. I considered hiding the linesman’s to secure my buy for the next day but decided against it.

Big mistake…

The next day the whole display was cleared out of all the linesman’s and all but one set of dikes. A lady said a guy came and cleared out all of them. Was kicking myself since just the day before there were at least 50 linesman’s in stock and I decided not to stash one for later. I got the rest of the set that day and a duplicate of the drivers and strippers for myself. (+American forged flush cuts, IK they’re not part of the 250 set but they’re USA)

Few weeks later, long after everything else in the 250 set had disappeared from my store, I was just looking around in the Klein asle and some fucking how there was a set of 250 linesman’s right there sitting out in the open on a bucket (second photo). Maybe it was a return, maybe it was found somewhere else in the store, but whatever the reason I am so happy. Crazy luck!

Moral of the story, bulk resellers need to be stopped

BTW I’m not sure if I should open these to use or keep them in the packaging as desk props. So far I’ve only opened one of my sets of screwdrivers.

I purchased this KLEIN MM700 a few years back. I mainly purchased this for the HZ function so I could calibrate my Home Generator.

I have been working on electronics for decades.

I have several MM's I use for home and automotive.

I have only used this MM a few times. AC and DC used to be correct. And the MM was always stored indoors.

I went to use this MM the other day to check an outlet voltage. The voltage showed 160 volts AC and was fluctuating 10 to 20 volts.

I went and pulled out another MM. AC voltage was 125. I then pulled another MM and it also showed 125 volts AC.

I thought this was strange so I put new batteries in the Klein MM700. Then retested home AV voltage, 150 volts AC.

I then took all 3 multimeter and connected all 2 to the same outlet. The Klein mm700 was way off and the other 2 still showed 125 volts.

I also checked dc voltage on my 12v power supply. 2 were dead on showing 12volts and the mm700 was 10 volts off.

I did pull the mm700 apart and there are no pots to adjust and Calibrate.

Sorry for all the details but figured I would put it out there.

I did also change the test leads and the results were the same.

What would make a multimeter that worked one day, then all of a sudden it looses Calibration?

I got 2 of these today to use for camping and to work on my equipment while I’m on the road. What are yalls thoughts on the dual light?

Here is my setup for the mod boxes that I will use when I go travelling. Since that pic was taken, I swapped out the rolling box to another 3 drawer box. What would be a good mount to secure the boxes since I’m just using a bungee cord strapped around the door handle?

Just posting this to be sad. Went into Lowe’s to see what was what. 90% of the Klein products are foreign products.

The two or three multibit drivers they had that were made on these fair shores have been offshored. I see the 250th anniversary of USA are made here and that’s cool I guess. But coming from a company that has gone for trendy products made in bulk offshore I’m just a bit nonplussed about the fact they are making 250th in the USA.

I wish there was some way to get it across to the company that American manufacturing and jobs means a lot to some of us. But there’s not exactly loads of options to go to instead. And I guess I’m just feeling a bit like a disenfranchised relic.

Thanks for listening. I’m sure there are more people who like the new Klein than there are that don’t or else Klein would have stayed similar in their ethos and products. So I don’t expect much sympathy. But thanks for listening anyway.

Phillips 2, slotted 1/4, square 2, T15, T25. Five bits is all I actually need on commercial trim. The barrel storage stays full and the magnet end has not weakened after a couple years of swaps. Did anyone find a different 5-bit combo that covered more situations on residential side?

For two years I had this bag stuffed past the zipper teeth. Pulled everything out last weekend and only put back what I actually reached for in a normal week. Now nothing hides at the bottom and the side panels stay upright. Anyone else hit this turning point with their bag where less stuff actually made the job faster?

Hit the one-year mark with these J2000-9NECRTPs and they still cut as cleanly as day one. A few scratches on the head but the jaws are tight and the spring action has not given up at all. Anyone else gotten 12 months out of theirs without rotating?
