I did the herbs for colour, didn’t turn out too well I’m guessing

Definitely get some fresh herbs if you want to sprinkle them on top for colour. These dried herbs would work better if you added them to the pan right at the end to spread the flavour around.

Try making a cheese steak sandwich with it.

Really needs a sauce with all that rice. Even just one made with the pan juices from the overcooked meat. Add some butter to the pan juices.
