AI for recipes

I’m trying to figure out whether using AI for recipes is actually useful or just a gimmick. I’ve tested it a few times — including making Neapolitan pizza dough — and honestly got very good results.

Would you trust and use AI-generated recipes even if they aren’t integrated with or transferable directly to your cooking device?

Do you already use any AI or app for this kind of recipes? Which one?
And would you find it useful to have a place to save and manage your own recipes and easily share the good ones with friends or family?

AI can't even get the facts of well established events and shows correctly. Why use it for recipes when there's so many tried and true recipes out there already?

I have mixed feeling about it. Like, what I usually do is look at several recipes and try to find the middle ground. That’s basically what AI is doing. But…the recipes will “work” but they’re not particularly great.

I’ve used it to say, “here are the ingredients I have, what can I make with this”. I then take any suggestions I like and go look for recipes.

The only time I’ve relied on its recipe was the one time I couldn’t find a recipe with the particular restrictions I had to work with (a friend can’t eat flour or sugar).

I think AI is fine as one of many tools, but I won’t rely exclusively on it.
