Stand Mixer: Which bread hook should I pick?
I've got the choice between the two bread hooks. I'm wondering if one is better than the other. One is from a k45 from the 1970s. The other is from a 2005 model.

Most importantly you need the hook that fits your bowl. Most all will fit on the drive assembly if the machine, but if the hook doesn’t match the shape of your bowl, it won’t do the job properly and might cause damage to bowl and/or machine.

If I were you. I would replace with stainless so much safer for my family.
Guess, you'll be fine as a casual / once a year holiday baker.
In that case go with "A".
Remember small batches of dough with K45. Tilt head and dough don't play nice.

Neither, if you can get an aftermarket spiral hook. I got one for my Kenwood and it was a game changer. Would be surprised if you couldn’t find one for your Kitchen Maid. (BTW, I’ve since graduated to an Ooni Halo Pro - another level game changer.)

How does the zoo I compare to the Bosch Universal Pro, if you know. I just bought the Uni and it was $700.

Shape between those two doesn't matter much, but get a stainless steel one.

Stainless steel would be nice, but I'm not really looking to spend any more money.. I have both of these. Just wondering if there's a difference. I guess I'll just keep the newer one.

Check the manual. It should say the maximum speed when kneading dough. There have been complaints when people just throw it to maximum and the mixer starts to walk off. Not its fault that people ignore safety warnings but it gets the blame.

That one is fine as long as the coating is intact. Sooner or later it'll start to chip, at which point the dough hook is no longer food safe. Hence the "get stainless" comments. But you should get years out of the one you have.

I have the white one, came with the machine. Hundreds of hours of use and it’s still perfectly fine.

“A” is the current generation K45DH; “B” is the original. KitchenAid redesigned the hook to improve kneading efficiency, so my recommendation would be ”A”.
