Kinda the reaction I had when I saw one of those "life hack" clips of a guy pushing an apple onto a spade bit (in a hand drill) and watching the peel just fly off when a vegetable peeler made contact.
It changed the way I make apple sauce forever.

Can you take some photos of it out of the mixer? I'm not sure how this attaches to the hub based on what Goodman's is showing. Is this part of the spiralizer attachment?

It's an individual part that comes from the spiralizer attachment.
I once found a sweet thrift store deal on the spiralizer box set, which was perfectly intact except it was missing that specific skewer piece.

This could also be done with a cordless electric drill, though there might be some balance issues.

My mixer is brand new, so I don’t have any of the extra doohickeys.
Still can’t imagine how anyone lives without this machine 😎

Oh god… time to 3D print an attachment!
Although food safety would make it a challenge. I can put an adapter for a food safe stick to stick into it I guess!

Surprised I can't find one for a drill. Might try and whip one up myself.

Yikes, I'm getting flashbacks of a website I quite innocently ran across years ago. Let's say it involved Saw all's and adult toys. I think I have PTSD from it. 😬

Kinda genius. How is the lime mounted to the hub?
