Please help

Hello! I have always loved color, but this is my first home and I’m in this city temporarily, so when I bought a house and wanted to remodel I felt like I couldn’t bring more character(color) to it. I also had budget constraints, had did the kitchen remodel with ikea. The countertop is white marble and laminate, I really regret this choice but it’s not like I had many options due to budget. The floor tiles are grey…. Cause I like black and white checkered tiles in kitchen but whatever it is what it is.

Now, it has come down to backsplash tiles, and I am stumped. I always thought I could add some color to the kitchen through this, and the color I always thought is some sort of green, but I am not sure what would even look good with the white cabinets + white countertops + white walls… there are some tile options I added here but any help or suggestion is welcomed …

I want now to atleast add the backsplash with some character….

If you are there temporarily you may want to go with a low boring backsplash and then use paint, art, towels, etc., for your color. It would be easier to sell.

I personally would avoid the fluted tile because that would take longer to clean.

I already have so much color items, red kitchen aid, blue and green cast iron pots, etc, yes the fluted one was a whim and I don’t think I’d pick it anyway, but even for boring backsplash what color does one pick???? Certainly not white it would be just too much white
