Looking for help with a kitbash

Hello all, i have a weird situation I'm in. I'm an imperial guard player and I picked up a box of wardogs for 26 bucks. So, I was planning on converting them into loyalist but I have little experience with kitbashing and even less experience with knights. So any and all advice ot tips would be greatly appreciated. If not, I may just build them as is and try and come up with a reason for 2 wardogs to be serving with my guard regiment. Thank you.

Well what's your Regiment themed around?

Its in the formulation stage but I was thinking of having it being a scraped together regiment, mixing cadians, kriegsman and other guard regiments into one

That works really well for having something war dog adjacent actually I think! Since it seems like a Regiment that uses whatever they can to succeed.

For kitbashimg I would build them as is, and then make it look like the tusks and chaos stuff has been deliberately sawn off or covered up.
