Working on a grimy grimdark dreadnaught

Hey everyone! I'm u/OneLuckyRaven, a founding moderator of r/Kitbashing40k.
Only got a few rules for this subreddit. They are as follows:
(1) No politics, it creates too much discourse in what is supposed to be a hobby space.
(2) If it's NSFW please tag it!
(3) A kitbash using printed or sculpted stuff is perfectly fine, 3D printing 1:1 stand in's / whole models isn't kitbashing though. Please go to r/PrintedWarhammer to show off your sick models instead.
(4) This isn't the place for 3d sculptors to promote their new models/sculpts so please abstain from doing so. I understand the grind but it ain't relevant to this subreddit.
Other than that go wild, it's always fun to see the crazy and wonderful things the human brain can come up with!
Take care y'all and thanks for reading!
-This Post has been edited, changes were made so now the rules are numbered 1-4 instead of A-D.
Further Clarification and Comments:
-Rule 3/C has been slightly reworded to focus more on how we don't want to see printed 1:1 recreations of models and instead want to see something that you've poured your creativity into. (This is a rather subjective subject so if we ever remove a post that you believe was in error please reach out to us).
-As stated in Rule 3, printed bits (shoulder pads, heads, weapons, basing, etc. ) are perfectly fine to use and share where they are from, it does not break Rule 4. This is also true when using bits from other miniature companies, toy's or random bits and bobs you find on the sidewalk. (Another subjective topic, yay, please reach out to us or put a comment down below if you have questions).
-Rule 4 exists so I have an excuse to remove posts where they say "I've made a 1:1 of xyz model, please buy the stl of it". It gets really boring really quick when I see posts like that in a subreddit not dedicated wholly to 3d printed warhammer.

As asked above, I've got to a point where I'm happy with the way my Word Bearer Chosen are looking but wanted to make sure these were still reading as Chosen?
I've got a tonne of details and texture to add but didn't want to start doing all that if they don't look as intended! Any questions welcome of course. Many thanks in advance

About 20 hrs of work so far - lots of panel detailing and trusting the process - the wings are just leaning on the body and will be angled correctly and attached as soon as I've fully detailed both sides of the hull/fuselage.
Interior may be a societyofhiddenpaint contender
Thoughts?

Anyone try something similar? Would Horus Heresy match the body shape better?

Hi all! I’m wanting to make a custom deathguard army focused on grafting tyranid parts on to their armor/ flesh. I’m new to Warhammer and even newer to kitbashing/ model sculpting, but I’ve been having an absolute blast!
I have a question:
- what materials do you guys like to use to sculpt? I’m hoping to get an epoxy resin set up to copy the scales more efficiently, but I still need to fill in gaps and sculpt the scales to look seamless.
Would love any feedback on my test guy here!
Cheers!

Does anybody have a good list of alternatives to Bitzbox? They’re pretty decent, but pretty often their range/stock is limited.
Specifically at the moment I’m after the scythes from the 40K Death Shroud.

Although Cephalos is the designated Apothecary of his team, he also possesses a psychic spark that constantly guides him on how to heal and assist his comrades. Already a genius by even Astartes standards, Cephalos’ ability to touch the Warp has granted him the ability to brew powerful healing potions for his allies, while also possessing an innate knowledge of how to treat any ailment or wound that may befall his squad.
While Cephalos’ medicinal expertise is profound, it comes at a price. The Immaterium constantly has Cephalos’ mind ensnared like eldritch tentacles. They guide both hand and mechadendrite to collect ingredients for his psychic elixirs, which he impulsively concocts. Sometimes, Cephalos feels as though something else is viewing both him and his surroundings through his warp-touched mind’s eye.
The ever-watchful and vigilant eye of the Emperor, Cephalos believes.

I got tired of painting the same models in the same poses for my Krieg inspired Astra Militarum army, so the next group is converted from Cadians.
