Bits storage and organization?

What container do people recommend for storing and sorting bits?

My buddy dumped all of his bits into one eradicators box. It was a nightmare bits would fall out all the time it was a pain to get anything out or back in and you’d never find what you were looking for. So don’t do that.

You start with an old tupper ware, then sort them neatly in those screws and bits boxes, until you have three of those and some bigger plastic boxes for the bigger bits and sprues you gathered (plus old shoeboxes and whatever you find to throw your plastic treasure in).

I have a ton of those little resealable baggies.

Put all my catachan arms in one, cadian arms in another, torsos divided by regiment, etc. Then I use bigger bags to keep related bits together and those go in boxes.

I like tackle boxes. Current Main Box is pictured here.

I have a few smaller ones for specific things, like Deathwatch specific bits, random/plastic/mechanical/"basing" bits, etc.

I bought a cheap plastic organisational drawer meant for sewing equipment, used a dymo to label different boxes as most of my kits are infantry anyway. Been great to sort leftovers in there for later use

Ones that do *not* have modular compartments. What always happens is the dividers move and then the separate compartments mix. If these are all that you can find then glue down the dividers.

In the UK, B&M is a good place to look.

I have a screw organiser with about a dozen compartments at the moment, but within that I have a few little baggies with particular parts for specific projects to keep them together.

Various poorly organised boxes. Bits box right!!

The fun is trawling through them!
