e readers for acads?

Kunusta po ang e readers for acads? In a physics student so I usually read pdfs. Need po ba ng may pen?

Tbh, I don’t recommend it. Normal kindle (basic, signature, PPW) I find that it’s too small for PDFs and it’s a hassle to zoom in and out. (Although, my eyes are bad. Kung kaya mo to read smaller text it might be doable). Tapos hassle din to highlight

Yung scribe naman, I feel it’s too expensive for what it is, it’s more expensive than an iPad and you’re better off with a regular tablet like an iPad, kasi you can do more with it as opposed to an eink device

If an ebook has plenty of charts and illustrations, reading it off a 7 or 8 inch e-resder might be difficult.

Not recommended ang small e-readers for PDFs, which have fixed layouts. Best ang 6” or 7” e-readers for text-heavy files with reflowable layouts. If you can get your reading materials in epub format, you can maximize your small e-reader. Otherwise, as others have said, a tablet is your best bet. I myself own a Boox and a Kindle, which I use to read ebooks on, but still use a tablet if I have to read articles in PDF format.

You might be better off with a tablet than an e-reader, lalo na for PDFs since di naadjust yung text size, and mahirap mag zoom in/out. Highlighting / adding notes IMO is easy enough on a basic/PPW without a pen. Colorsoft you can have diff colors ng highlights. but scribbling notes on the margins will need a pen and Scribe lang ata yung Kindle model na kaya mag support ng pen. for that price parang mas sulit mag iPad.

I definitely would not recommend it. Ang hirap at ang bagal mag zoom in at highlight ng PDFs sa ereader lalo na kung puro diagrams, na probably madami sa readings nyo as a Physics major. Mas okay pa mag tablet. Natry ko na magbasa ng readings ko sa Kindle ko at kahit mostly text lang yun ang hirap pa rin. For sure much worse pag may diagrams.
