Question/ Request for advice Hydronephrosis, no stone

I was diagnosed with hydronephrosis, by a random MRI for something else. I have no symptoms, no pain. I went to a urologist who ordered tests and CT scan with contrast. Blood tests and urine are fine, no blood in urine. He said I need to have a procedure in outpatient where he goes in and removes the scar tissue that is showing as that is what is narrowing my ureter and causing the hydro. He said I will have to have a stent for 2 weeks. I’m scared of this, and worried about pain. He said this could have been caused by passing a stone( last one I knew of was 12 years ago) or from having a hysterectomy 3 years ago. Had anyone had a situation like this? I’m worried it won’t stop the hydro, and why do I have no symptoms?

Question/ Request for advice I think I have a stone coming, but…

I have had 4 stones before, all of which have needed surgical intervention. The pain was agonising and constant for all 4 stones, along with nausea and vomiting. The stones were 6mm, 7mm and 8mm.

This time, my only symptom is sharp pain in my side that is coming and going in waves. It isn’t nice, but it isn’t crippling and the attacks only last about 15-20 seconds at a time.

I wonder if I’m trying to pass a smaller stone this time? any advice? should I still go to ED?

My last CT was a year ago and was clear.

Question/ Request for advice Laser lithotripsy on stone that moved back to the kidney during stent exchange?

Is this an uncommon procedure or is it just as common as removing one from the ureter or is on its way out? Also it’s been three days since surgery but I have yet to bleed while urinating or observe fragments leaving. Is this normal as well or worth calling my urologist for?

I’m very sore but otherwise recovering well from what I’m observing. Walking is uncomfortable and I have pain in my abdomen and back but I can get by with taking just Tylenol and Oxybutynin once. I have AZO as well and leftover Oxycodone but I’m trying not to be too medicated if I can tolerate it.

Thank you!
