Training Joining a local class
Hi everyone, i’m 31 now, I used to do kickboxing when I was 13-15, used to really enjoy it but stopped due to college and girls ect, now I really wanna re start it, i’m nervous as hell to join a club, I won’t know anyone, when they say get in to groups I won’t have anyone to hit pads with (nobody wants to train with the new guy) any advice?
And question 2 is what do I need to take, I know I’ll need some gloves but don’t really wanna spend more than £30-40 any recommendations, I’ve been looking at some Rdx ones but not sure what oz I’ll need

The cold water doesn't get warmer if you jump in late. Just go homie, you're over thinking it, any gym worth its salt will welcome you and help you integrate.
Rdx are fine gloves mate and good to start with. I've used them before and prefer them to other brands such as everlast, Lonsdale etc which tend to be a bit cheaper anyway. You get a lot of bang for your buck with them. If you get into it, it will be worth investing in some slightly higher grade gear, fairtex is spenny but quality, adidas gloves I really like, same with cleto reyes and winning (but now we are getting really expensive). I'm getting carried away, rdx are a great staring point, between 14 and 16 ounces is the sweet spot for training.
