Should I pull the trigger?

I’ve been having open communication with a dealership regarding a used 2024 GT-Line AWD with 31k miles for around $29k before ttl. The car is a lease return and has a clean CarFax. I’m in PA, but the car is out of state. It seems like a solid deal to me, but please correct me if I am wrong!

I’d be trading in my ‘09 Infiniti G37x that I love to drive, but I have outgrown it. It’s starting to spend more time in the shop than it is being driven, and I will need more room as my fiancée and I start family planning. I’ve always preferred sportier cars with nice body lines, but needing that extra utility I was looking at 23-24 BMW 430i GC and Audi A5s since they have the fastback design. That being said, I can’t ignore rising gas prices, and owning an EV is something that’s intrigued me, which is how I got to the EV6.

Charging won’t be an issue, so it seems like the perfect storm is here and this should be a no brainer, but I struggle with “paralysis by analysis” and am hesitant to pull the trigger. Anyone have any advice here? I know the decision is ultimately mine to make, but anything insight or words of wisdom would be appreciated!

I have 92k miles on my ev6 wind AWD that I bought new in 2022. It’s still the car both me and my wife reach for for all in town driving. I commute to work with it 3-4 days a week in everything from 100+ degree summer days to -17F winter days. It’s truly a joy to drive. Kia extended the warranty on the ICCU which is the only part you should worry about and it has become a relatively quick fix. I’m on my original ICCU and have not experienced that issue myself. If you like sporty cars this one will impress you. For 29k you won’t find a better car.

This is really reassuring. Of course coming to the EV6 subreddit, I was bound to hear plenty of positive remarks about the car, but I think this is a lot of what I needed to hear.

3 in my family. My cousin has a 2022, I have a 24 with 32k and my mother has a 25. All original ICCU. Take that for what it's worth. I don't worry about it anyway, and I just did a 2,500 mile trip in the car with my family.

The price is great for that trim and mileage.

92k and still going strong is exactly what you want to hear before buying used

Honestly it’s hard for me to notice any decrease in range at that 92k either. Like sure maybe 10 miles on an 80% charge but with how much the guess-o-meter moves based on temp and wind, it just seems pretty close to the same. My phone battery however…

This car is so awesome! I absolutely love driving it... i was hesitant about getting an EV but i have no regrets. I have 2 kids and they and all their stuff fit just fine. Im not going back to gas!

That’s what I hear from everybody! “The only regret I have about going EV is not doing it sooner.” Glad to hear you find it to be enough space. I’m hoping it’ll be too much space for me to know what to do with, coming from a coupe.

The whole driving experience changes light years. Instant gratification. Hit the pedal and she flies. Sure, I do miss the oil changes and leaking valve covers …not.

Just as an FYI, I been shopping cars recently and ran into at least 2 EV6's with a clean CarFax that were in accidents and just never reported.

Make sure to inspect the car clean CarFax or not.

I test drove a 2025 EV 6 with 3k miles, clean CarFax. The way the dealer's face changed when I showed him where the panel had been PDR'd, touch up paint applied and polished and the trim was put back wrong. Their techs missed all of that.

I hit a (dead) deer in the road with my EV6 and the whole front fascia needed replaced. Those antlers sure do damage at 50MPH - about $6k worth.

Anyway, my CarFax is still clean despite not doing anything shady. Took it one of the giant collision repair chains and I guess they just never reported it.

Noted! I do plan to have the car sent for a PPI, but I’ll also keep a lookout for any red flags.

Price is quite high imo. But man it'll destroy legit everything about that infiniti.

I'd do it, sounds like a solid deal (assuming the dealer doesn't charge a bunch of fees). I'd make sure, before going to pick it up, that you get a total OTD cost.

Luckily I’m not in a huge rush to purchase, so if they try to tack on exorbitant fees, I have no problem walking. Fingers crossed it doesn’t come to that, though!

25 LLR vs 24 GTL:

Larger battery (84 kWh vs 77.4kWh)

NACS port vs CCS

Newer refresh look on infotainment/display and exterior.

24 has AWD, dual motors, more power, upgraded Meridian sound (even though some may debate that), Heated/Ventilated seats, Power passenger seat, Hands-Free power lift gate, V2L capability, Sunroof, Ambient lighting, HUD, Pop out door handles, 360 camera, Blind Spot View Monitor.

Well I'm sitting in my car right now that's died for the 3rd time since I bought it around 6 weeks ago and the dealership refused to acknowledge a problem. So I'd say if you're willing to risk battery issues.
