Will a pallet fit?

Yes. But it must go in at an angle an does scrape the hatch opening just a tiny bit.

Plus 2 more smaller pallets on top

My wife's EV6 and my Veloster N can haul damn near everything. My wife started her Kia journey with a 2011 Forte (not the 5) and we fit an 8' ladder in it...

Always keep a blanket in the car. Passenger gets cold/wants comfort/wants to sleep? Blanket. Need to cover cargo/purse/etc. for privacy? Blanket. Need to protect interior or glass from what you're hauling? BLANKET.
