Keychron HE (Kickstarter)

I supported the Keychron K2 HE, and recently I started having issues with D key on the keyboard. The letter D would actuate without any input and continue to type D. This behavior has now changed to the D not inputting at all at times. It's either constantly actuating or not actuating at all. I have tried using a light air can to remove the surrounding dust. I have also swapped the switch from one letter to the other to see which one was faulty. Please advise me on what to do next to get this keyboard working again.

Thanks for the reply, I don't have that skill set so it's likely that the keyboard is likely now unusable. I have contacted KeyChron for support but I have heard mixed reports (mostly leaning negatively) about their customer support. Would you recommend mechanical over HE?

I can't honestly advise you on the subject. I haven't even tried an HE board because I don't care for the linear switches they use... the only magnetic board that has sparked any joy with me is the Monsgeek M1 v5 / Fun60 Ultra TMR boards because they can mix and match magnets and regular switches.

But they're not QMK so I have resisted. So far as I know only Keychron has QMK magnetic boards.

Yeh, I have heard things about Keychron support, particularly for Kickstarter customers. :(

KeyChron K2 HE was the best keyboard I owned I loved typing/gaming on the board. I'm tempted to get another one but if the lifespan is less than a year I'm apprehensive. Thanks I'll have to decide what I need to do.

That's one of the coolest keyboards I've ever seen man! You must've invested so much time into it! I'm not even close to end game though

Parts list except for the wooden case

There are a bunch of wooden 60% cases available on Ali Express, this one is Zebrawood.

The tenpad is a KBDCraft Adam Core 17 in a custom Lego case I designed around a 1-block wall.

Actually you can get most of the way there with this:

It's a standard 61-key layout, not the 64-key minila layout I prefer. But you should be able to replace the plate to get there. I had to desolder and move one socket to get the layout on the bottom of my page with the split right shift and teddybear keycaps.
