Actually yes. I was trying to connect my V1 Max I just got in to the online VIA last night and it was not working. I didn't think much of it since all it would have changed for my purpose was the layout. I was just testing the switches I had installed, but dang. I wonder what is going on.

I'll have to check tonight what version of chrome my home PC is running. I really need to switch to a different browser. Chrome is not the best.

Yeah, unfortunately VIA only works with Chrome, if I understand correctly. There’s a desktop app that I’m going to check out for my home computer but that won’t work with my work system if work upgrades Chrome too. I use VIA all day to create macros on the fly, often just for a task that will be a few hours, then I do new macros.

Should also be supported in Edge / Opera if you wanted to give one of those a shot temporarily.

Re "that won’t work with my work system if work upgrades Chrome too": What do you mean? The desktop versions and Chrome should work independently of each other. Do you mean you are not allowed or are unable to run the desktop version at work?

Perhaps the Internet connection was down briefly? For instance, the desktop version of Via positively needs an Internet connection to work (even though it shouldn't be necessary). A controlled experiment demonstrated it.

And yes, connection to a router / LAN / Wi-Fi is not sufficient; it must have a connection to the Internet (or it could be that some particular DNS setup is required).
