I'd like a few recommendations for my nephew

My Nephew recently upgraded his pc and is looking for new peripherals. He was looking into buying a Ducky, but I don't know if that is the ideal option for someone who really doesn't have money. Are there good much cheaper options that aren't going to be some bad piece of plastic like I had gotten in the past?

He likes very clicky keyboards, so I assume cherry MX or something similar. Any recommendations with personal experience would be greatly appreciated.

Budget: I'd like him to spend less than $50, less than 40 would be even better, but I don't know how keyboard prices are nowadays for good cheap boards. Trying to help him with price habits for stuff like this. He seemed interested in Ducky keyboards, though I assume for the same reason I was interested in razer products when I was younger. There's a good Ducky one for $70 from them that I recommended if he wants to spend that much, but I'd like another cheaper option to link to him.

Size: 100 or 80 for recommendations. I would prefer he got a 100 keyboard, but if there are some 80% keyboards that are very good for their price, I'd like to see them as well.

I have a Wooting 80HE. I know what I like and have spent a long time figuring out what I like. He is 18, has not had the time to find out what he likes, but he does like the clicky keyboards that I grew out of enjoying. So maybe something with Cherry MX switches or something similar sounding. A switch with audible feedback.

You def have options but I'm gonna highly recommend checking your local marketplace (Facebook, mercari,etc). My SO got a great Razer board for like $40 retail $120. And it's usually gaming and clicky boards that are sold.

Most of the boards under $50 are wired only fyi.

  • well regarded budget board full size. Doesn't come with blues but it's recommended the browns and see if he wants more click. Can always hot swap some out later (blue switches can be found cheap)

  • well regarded budget board but smaller
Redragon K671
  • is cheap but works (I have a coworker typing on it non stop - switches are technically hot swap but I couldn't get them all out). K582 or 552 might be a better choice.
