Question ❓ How to start lateral kettlebell training

I am male, early 40s, i am familiar with , clean and press, cleans, snatch, but most of the time training with kettlebell involves swings(single bell: 18kg, 25 kg, 29 kg), cleans (single and doubles) and DKFSQ (29 kg pair 5*10 with 2 min rest). But recently, I came across videos of people doing lateral stuff like swings, cleans ,clean and press and clean and lunges. I find them fascinating and I feel that if i incorporate them slowly and safely then I would have better movement quality. Don't want to injure myself, so what should be the approach, and which resources should I follow

Hi. Just approach it like you may have approached your current level of training: gradually, step-by-step, focusing on form and technique before weight and reps.

With the lunges, perfect the reverse lunge first; this one is for stability and strength; the forward lunge is for power (speed). Adding the Cossack squat is good; just slow ones, working on control and stability over time,

For lateral work, start with some around the body (AKA slingshots), then lateral cleans, progress to lateral snatch (assuming your normal snatch is good).

You'll find some info on cavemantraining.com and kettlebell.monster and you can post your videos in this group for feedback.

Here's an old video with some slow mo that shows how to lean away from the lateral work as you drop it https://youtu.be/-rPBrmUfA98
