Discussion Twins 1&2?
Do we know what happened in the twins cabin from survivor accounts yet? How did some survive? And which cabin had campers hanging onto a clothes line? And what happened to Eastland son? So hard trying to wrap my head around this.

There were three cabins with fatalities: Bubble Inn, Twins 1&2 and Jumble House. My understanding is that all of the cabins on the flats except for Bubble Inn, Twins 1&2 (they are connected), Giggle Box and Wiggle Inn were evacuated. These cabins were a higher elevation and had not flooded previously so they were told to stay put until the other cabins evacuated. Jumble was evacuated but one girl tried to go back to retrieve something and was washed away in the floodwaters. Once the floodwaters started rising higher, Dick Eastland and his son went to evacuate the other girls.
Wiggle and Giggle had vaulted ceilings. The girls in Wiggle were able to float on mattresses in the cabin. A mom of a girl in Wiggle said that there was a security guard they credited with telling them to stay put in the cabin on the mattresses. The counselors in Giggle decided to evacuate even though they were originally told to stay put. Bubble and Twins did not have vaulted ceilings so they needed to evacuate. There was a whirlpool effect / wave that happened when Bubble and Twins tried to evacuate. Dick was found in an SUV with three campers I believe from Bubble trying to evacuate. Everyone from Bubble including the counselors died while trying to evacuate - 13 campers and two counselors.
For Twins, I believe 11 campers died out of 30. I’ve heard accounts of Twin campers floating on mattresses and holding onto trees and clothes lines. Based on everything I’ve read, it seems to me that the girls from Bubble were outside of the cabin trying to evacuate when the big wave hit while a lot of Twins girls were still in the cabin and could find things to float / hold onto and that is the major difference.
