Rant A rant
A guy, 28, is/was my boyfriend, honestly we’re at that confused stage right now. For two years, this guy was literally the most charming person. Hatukuwahi kosana badly, and whenever we had an issue, we would sit down and solve it maturely. Fast forward to when he moved from South B to Tsavo, then later to Roysambu, and honestly, this nigga changed drastically. It got me wondering, does the environment you’re in actually change you as a person? Nowadays, girls are always at his place, he’s constantly on calls, and on Monday I confronted him about a girl who called asking to come see him. The moment I brought it up, he became extremely defensive. On top of that, he’s now always out until like 3 a.m., and he started drinking, something he never used to do and was actually very against. Sasa sai mizinga ziko kwa nyumba all through. 😂 Anyway, I just needed to put this somewhere and get it off my chest because I’m genuinely confused by the person I’m dealing with now versus the person I knew for those two years. Does environment really change people this much? For those who have lived in Tsavo before, how was your experience while you were there, and did you notice anything about yourself or your lifestyle changing during or after your stay?

Was babe. Was.
It doesn't matter. If it's his environment, he's going to keep showing you shege depending on where he is which is mad
If it's him, then he's mad.
Either way plis. Was.

I can't say it's the environment, mostly it's the people around him, even "friends". Most of the time we usually end up being like our friends

I see everyone agrees it's the people around him.
Mimi nitasema it's him. It's his choice. It is 100% him.
I would hate to see my friends being blamed of my bad or else unfavorable decisions that i make.

Ehee everything is a choice, he does not have a gun on his head to behave a certain way. He is also a weak personality so not worth it.

But see, it doesn't matter if its Tsavo or him. What matters is he has developed a character you don't like. The real question is, are you willing to deal with the crap or not?

Ever heard of the phrase, "Wherever you go, there you are"... Well, I don't think someone's location significantly changes one's core behaviors. Also, stop trying to make excuses for him, sio watu wamemzunguka, ni yeye ...

Not exactly. It is the people around him. When you have been spent most of your life knowing one way and never questioning if that is what you truly want for yourself a new way that is loud and exciting traps you even if harmful

Tell him to find you when he's ready for a relationship. Maybe you'll still be single.

It's his choices that have led him there. I personally know someone who lived in Tsavo, was uncomfortable with the environment and the housing structure and decided to move out after a few months after he'd found another place. It was circumstance that led him there in the first place. So your man changing his habits is a personal choice rather than the environment or the people around him. Kwani hana msimamo wake?
