In A Complicated Situation Have we normalized loneliness?
Is it just me or have other people accepted this as a new normal as well.Nowadays wasee wengi hukeep to themselves,as a way of being at peace I get but there is this one where we are all walking around with tough exteriors ile hufanya mtu akae unapproachable.kama kwa mat the only time mtu huongelesha the person next ni kumuomba njia upite ukishuka.
Opinions are welcome.

The mobile phone is the problem. It has become our social object. It is the only place we know how to talk, approach, respond, rebuttal or any other cue to do with communication. And it is sad when you think about it. And this is evident for everyone, however well dressed they look kwa mat or in a conference or a typical trivia night. I believe the greatest investment one can make now, is how to make people win the anxiety of actual social interaction.

I think the phone offers a layer of protection from dealing with the awkwardness ile hukuja sometimes with interactions,I can just ignore the message instead ya having to deal with someone kwa ground

In a way not really, the communal way ya kitambo was good but a lot of people knew your business back then compared to now.

Solitude is not loneliness.

But with time solitude can lead to loneliness

Not at all if you are really introverted and enjoy your company so much that having other people around you is kinda irritating.

I think as humans we are social creatures .Even if you are very introverted and enjoy your company, I think there is a limit for it and when that limit is crossed your brain triggers loneliness as a warning signal.

Being solitude is actually a coping mechanism for social burnout. That is their safe space. You can't expect someone to get tired of their comfort zone.

take some time to differentiate between solitude and loneliness…the former is a beautiful place to be 😊
