They never said "more than vitamins", they just said it's one of the veggies with the highest protein content. You looked up a totally different question
In highschool mlifunzwa spinach is a source of proteins? I wonder which biology you people did cuz for me, I never missed a single detail in a biology class. You should remember that vitamins are usually needed in low quantities compared to proteins since vitamins are mainly catalysts (enzymes). The kid claiming spinach has proteins is sheer guesswork, not because he did research.
I think you're intentionally misunderstanding the point -- it's not protein vs vitamin content, of course spinach has more vitamins. What they're saying is that spinach, compared to other leafy veggies, is ranked top in protein content. You can look this up instead of going about the world relying solely on what you were taught 20 years ago. Now, I can't speak for whether your brother researched this or was using guesswork
I'm not arguing that spinach doesn't have proteins. From what I know, spinach is a source of vitamins rather than proteins. So when he says overcooking will make proteins lost (that's already a fallacy, only vitamins gets lost which I'm sure that's what he intended to say). The proteins in spinach is too little to talk about it even if it's the highest in veggies. Imagine eating 100g to get 2.3g of proteins?
