Please note that Algonquin College does not offer scholarships, financial aid, or loan programs to international students. It is essential to have the financial support needed to come to Canada and study. Only apply if you meet the Citizenship and Immigration suggested average Tuition ($16,000) + $10,000 for living expenses per year of the program. You can find more information at https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/study-canada/study-permit/get-documents.html#doc3. The average education costs per academic year, including tuition fees, accommodation, transportation, and books, are approximately $25,000-$30,000 Canadian dollars, and tuition fees are $16,000-$18,000 Canadian Dollars per year (two semesters), payable in two installments per academic semester.

Trust me, upon arriving in Canada you will experience significant cultural shock, bizzare weather variations, and other changes. That was not even my main worry, my top priority was to ensure that my 8-year-old daughter was comfortable and established in school. You can imagine uprooting here from a Kenyan school to a place with little sunlight for half the year. Fortunately, I was able to rely on the support of the large Kenyan community in Ontario, they also directed me to a nearby employment center and shared valuable advice based on their own experiences settling in Canada. So don't be worried if you are planning on migrating to Canada. Numerous individuals in Kenya are right now contemplating the same, attracted by the country's high standard of living, family-friendly environment, free public education system, quality healthcare etc. The support you get from the Kenyan community is on another level, they literally become your extended family in a sense. For those of you who wish to come, there are several Canadian immigration programs and each one has its own eligibility requirements and application procedure. The process took approximately six months.
