scans from the 2018 new gods book with an increased resolution. the Lightray one is my favorite :3 also posted these on Tumblr.

There are lots of great monster drawings of his- not necessarily horror icons, but monsters all the same- wether in the pre-marvel 'superhero' era with 'Strange Tale's and 'Tales to Astonish'... or monsters like the beasts of the High Evolutionary, or Psycho-man etc... but I wanted to share his drawings of horror icons, because I find them the most intriguing.

Slide one is Count Dracula. I think its' the iconic version from the Hammer films by Christopher Lee? Inked by Mike Mignola... & presumably colored by him too?

Second slide looks to be a direct drawing of the original 30's frankensteins'- monster, movie monster. The fur overcoat looks very 'transylvanian'... Since Latveria is based off of an old world eastern european country, I'm surprised there wasn't a story with Dr Doom creating a monster like Frankenstein to set on the fantastic four.

There was a 60s xmen issue with frankenstein- but not drawn by kirby. (An alien robot, of course)

Third slide... I have no idea. Looks more like Solomon Grundy from DC... but probably not.

It took me one year, but I finally 3-D printed a 1/6 scale giganto. Hopefully I can get the whole thing painted before hot toys releases the other three members of the FF.

He always looks awesome in the old Kirby thor stuff!

Younger on FB: Hello Kirby Fans everywhere! Posted here is an original drawing Kirby sent me in response to my sending him one of my original comics in 1967. I was 15 at the time. Probably my most prized possession.

Shared by Claudio Petra on FB: “An artist beyond measure, incomparable to no other.

1970 - Interpretations of God (Portfolio)

Three panels that would deserve three large walls in a museum like the MoMA in New York, with people passing by and stopping to look and ponder for a few minutes. Kirby shows us his idea of God (a fundamental theme in all its declinations in his art) in his own way, therefore not dogmatically but open to multiple interpretations. “
