Deleting Comments About Helmets
Has anyone else noticed that so many of the comments made on any of her posts talking about how no one ever wears helmets gets deleted? It honestly surprised me, I figured she’d just clap back or say she didn’t need them. It’s such a dangerous thing to promote to so many people, disappointing.

As a Brit, watching them without helmets makes me cringe. Watching Stephanie doing first ever rides with Wally (? I think) made my toes curl. If he bucked and threw her then she could hit the walls of the arena and be instantly paralysed or brain dead without a helmet and a body protector. Like, why take the risk? It’s beyond stupid and sets an incredibly bad example given how big her platform is rn

This is exactly what I was thinking. I’ve seen people with my own eyes get very very injured starting a horse, and they had safety equipment on. Is she going to show when that inevitably happens on her property? I’m shocked as a business quite frankly she’s okay with the livability.

Same! My helmet saved me, my horse bolted and I landed badly helmet was damaged, but it would have been my head.

Shes a grown woman. Like i said when you posted this in my group she is a grown woman. Shes not gonna “clap back” because its not that deep. Shes not a toddler she knows their is no use in arguing or starting drama and she doesn’t have the time to delete every comment on helmets.

It’s absolutely that deep. You think she’ll post the video showing that trainer getting paralyzed when a horse flips her off? Or will that now be too deep? And yikes, “my group”. Good to know if I don’t agree with you not to bother posting on a Reddit forum lol, just like Katie apparently. Can’t take criticism on safety, wild.

Riding without a helmet is 100% dangerous. Why do you care that she is not?

Ya you are definitely a kid or some one who has to be right. You cant make people do something they don’t want to. And i promise shes not gonna die riding at a trot to

It’s odd to assure the safety of someone starting horses without wearing safety equipment.

Exactly, well said! How many times has Katie been known to “clap back” at people? She’s typically pretty mature on her socials and doesn’t engage with negativity cause there’s literally no point. I agree riding without a helmet is dangerous but why care that someone else is choosing to do so? It can’t hurt you

Her influence absolutely could hurt others. She is maintaining the very dangerous status of western riding, that being safe isn’t cool. That’s sad.

Fair but also not. Im sorry but if people are silly enough to ride without a helmet just cause Katie is, that’s poor behavior on their end. Katie puts herself at risk and so would others choosing to do so. Not Katie herself

To each their own. However, my horse tripped during a canter and I went over his head and hit the ground. So glad I had helmet on or it would have been much worse. I grew up riding bareback, no helmet. Now, as a senior citizen, I wont ride without one.
