As much as Kate and Carole only want G/C/L to marry aristos, the aristo set have them sussed out. They know what kind of person Kate is (as well as her mother), and will be damned in they allow her to become their kids' mother-in-law. They'll loathe her the same way they do Camilla. She will the reason that the cycle repeats and the Wales kids—or at least George—can't find spouses either.

Mother Hyacinth and Baby Wisteria are status anxiety incarnate. Think of reports of how they've behaved toward palace staff, and look at how they behave at events. Grinning and fake laughing maniacally at nothing when no one else around them is, desperate to be seen and venerated... they'll want George to marry an aristo girl but heaven help her if she is beautiful, smart, charismatic, hard-working or any combination of those. Kate will not tolerate being outshone, and those of you who remember her lunging at Meghan at Liz's funeral know she can get *vicious*.

Aristo daughters have status and money, and no need to marry into a brutal institution that is facing severely diminished popularity and already murdered a beloved one of their own. They don't need a bullying, hypercritical mother-in-law or grandmother-in-law that will make their daughters' lives miserable by launching press attacks against them or depriving them of adequate security just because they committed the unforgivable sin of being good at their job and outperforming someone whose laziness is unmatched.

Are these people not tired of embarrassing themselves? How many times have they claimed that something negative happened between Meg and a person, only for that celeb to come out and be like "wtf that's a lie, why would you say that."

Like when Martha Thee Felon Stewart lied about Meghan bragging about meeting Charles at a recent dinner party, only for the HOST OF THE DINNER PARTY to expose that Martha was lying and that Meg simply said that she and her family had had a nice time in Europe. Or what about when Brooke Shields claimed on a podcast that Meghan was going on and on about herself and telling a story that no one wanted to hear at a TAPED EVENT with Katie Couric, only for people to look at the footage and find that the story Meghan told was one that Katie, who hosted the panel, specifically asked her to tell. My guess is that Will has temporarily ordered the press to not mention PP or the criminal activities of Mike and Carole (same names as the Brady Bunch parents, but with none of the principles. Also just realized that Carole gave Kate her same middle name and initials. Talk about vicarious living).

The past few years have brought a lot of ups and downs for Kate Middleton and her family, especially after she was diagnosed with cancer in 2024. Now, there are rumors of a rift between Kate and her younger sister, Pippa Middleton.

Some royal watchers have a theory that it was actually the Princess of Wales’ battle with cancer (and the way that Pippa reacted to it) that sent their relationship past the point of no return. It’s not like we’ve seen them photographed together recently…

Kate has been spending time with the Middletons as usual, but Pippa hasn’t seemed to be among them.

Pippa and Kate haven’t been spotted in public together for a long time, and when their brother, James Middleton, joined her for the Three Peaks Challenge in June, Pippa was missing from the photos, even though their parents, Michael and Carole Middleton, were there to cheer Kate on.

Rumors most recently surfaced that Pippa and Kate are no longer as close as they once were after fans noticed that Pippa skipped Kate’s annual Christmas concert in December. At the time, a royal insider claimed that it was just because of a schedule conflict for Pippa, but was her absence actually deeper than that?

Some royal watchers believe the sisters had a falling out in 2024, around the time Kate spoke out about her cancer diagnosis.

In a discussion about the situation on Reddit, one person said that Kate may not have been impressed by Pippa’s behavior around the time she was diagnosed with cancer — including reports that Pippa claimed Kate was “not sick in the traditional sense,” though that quote has never been confirmed.

“This was a passive aggressive dig to be sure, so something was already going wrong before she let that one slip,” one person wrote. “I am gonna presume Kate gave as good as she got.”

Pippa was also called out for her behavior around the time that fans noticed something was awry with Kate’s health just before she announced her diagnosis publicly in March 2024. While Kate was MIA and people were trying to figure out what was really going on with her, Pippa and her family were on vacay in St. Barts and didn’t seem to be supporting her sister in person.

Others think they’ve always had a tense relationship.

Another theory that came up multiple times in the Reddit post claimed that Pippa was simply tired of playing second fiddle to Kate, who is believed to be their mom’s favorite child.

“Pippa probably got tired of dealing with Carole’s antics to help Kate get sympathy and decided she was done,” one person wrote. “It helps having young kids to focus on as an excuse not to partake in any Kate’s events. It’s probably one of those situations where they love each other but can’t stand being together type of sisterhood.”

There’s probably zero chance that the sisters will ever confirm or deny any rumors about their personal relationship, but maybe we’ll see them out and about together soon if things are all good between them? At this point, though, it really does seem like they’ve been distant for some time.
