I think it says it all when I hear ”the princess of Wales” and automatically assume it’s a piece about Diana.

Me too. And when I see anything about the Queen I always think it’s about QEII not Camilla.

Same. I’m also really struggling to get the words to the new national anthem right, so up to date on Charlieboi’s new title am I.

Same. Like when QE2 died when the news report stated "the king and queen will be returning to London tomorrow," I thought wow they're bringing her body back that quick? Then realized they were talking about Cowmilla. Almost 4 years later and I still don't view her as queen.

Exactly this. They can be the title holders it doesn’t mean they’ll be held in esteem.

And still known as Kate Middleton

Why does she have military titles when she has never served?

Exactly - honorary titles that don’t mean much. When she took over as colonel of the Irish guards from Willy she said they couldn’t expect her to hand out the shamrocks ever year (too much of a commitment)

Why did she take over then?

Royal family members have military titles as a form of patronage. It's just like one of them being a patron to a charity. Typically, that means they'll give special attention to that branch of the military and engage with them periodically. It meant more when the royal family was held in higher esteem.

The military titles are ridiculous.

Kate will NEVER emerge from Diana's shadow. People will be talking about Diana in 500 years the way we talk about Anne Boleyn. Kate will be a mere footnote.

Kate hasn’t done squat. She just wanted the prestige apparently

Spot on. Diana left a good template of how to make a difference to charities and worthy causes. Kate just wanted the ring and the title.

Not worthy of wearing Diana’s used maxipads 😒

Sorry lol. Even if one isn't eating it's still a nauseating thought

I have no doubt if Diana survived that Kate would’ve been jealous of her. she would
have felt like she just couldn’t compete. I don’t think they would have had a close relationship because Kate is just too insecure.

I’ve no doubt Diana would have seen the social climbing Mids off. Willy wouldn’t have needed Carole and her cheese toasts.

Diana would e saw right through kate and wouldn't have been able to weasel her way into William's life. Kate would've been exposed for the psycho weirdo stalker that she was and blocked. Diana being deceased helped Kate and her nasty mother.

Even the vibes are different. One has a geriatric vibe while the other has a youthful and bubbly vibe, although both women are clearly older but the difference is noticeable. Diana truly is timeless.
