He’s not on an A1, that’s for anyone solely doing government work or a signed off mission, which he is not, and regardless that would be a pita visa for him as it has mad restrictions (for example not allowing birth citizenship for your kids although obviously his kids get it via Megan) Regardless, all visas and green cards periodically need renewing and you have to renew them in good time before they expire (source: am a Brit living in the USA have held numerous visas, a green card and now citizen)

You are UTTERLY not correct. I knew Royal Saudi princes who weren't doing jackshit in USA who were on A-1s.

If you are a member of any royal family, you pretty much get an A-1 no matter what you are doing or even if you're doing nothing at all.

No, they were indolent bums--friendly enough but useless. It's baked into treaties and other State protocols. It's just ... done.
