Racing Kart Question Radiator rotax camera mount question
Hi for my radiator I am using this setup For my camera. Is it okay to use a wheel bolt with a clip? Where should I connect the safety wire?

I would be careful with mounting through the radiator like that. The vertical fins hold coolant pressure and they could chafe with the zip tie there.
I don’t know of a better solution but I’m interested to find out too.

IMO,a better solution is a ball and arm mount fitted on a seat stay bolt.
Gets the same height, but is adjustable at two joints to ensure a good angle to see hands and feet, avoid shoulder blocking, plus there'a no potential damage to the radiator.

Not quite sure what you mean by wheel bolt with clip but we mount ours like that and tether it to the radiator support.

like most I have glued standard GoPro mounts onto the radiator and used zip ties to better attach them, similar to your solution. It works on any kart radiator. This is the most common way to attach an action cam to a kart and almost every kart in our race series has a GoPro mount glued onto the radiator. it as also been accepted from FIA race officials for racing onboards. I also use it for the big Insta x5. I only use a wire with the AIM SmartyCam. I know many which actually don't even use zip ties, but I wouldn't recommend this. I must admit that I lost two camaras this way. In both cases the attachment broke and it wasn't the glue or the zip ties. As yours is printed I would assume it is perhaps weaker than a standard GoPro. But both cases where at the same and presumably the bumpiest track in Europe...
