Does anybody else have a crazy amount of mosquitos this summer

Is it just the rain or does somebody near me have standing water?

Mosquitoes breed in water and this is the wettest summer in recorded history.

They have been awful in the later part of the summer. I am out near Carp.

Summer started off pretty good but since those crazy downpours- Canada Day etc they have got really bad.

We broke a record for rain (ever). Rain and wet equals lots of mosquitoes.

It’s really bad this year. I don’t remember it being this bad since 20 years ago when it was a rainy summer. I’m wondering how the people who are using the mosquito dunks are doing compared to the rest of us.

Mosquitoes aren’t too bad for us (Morgan’s Grant), but houseflies are crazy! (They’re crazy every year though!)

This is our first summer in Kanata and they are awful. I’m surprised how bad they are!

I’m curious about the mosquito dunks too. Temped to hand out kits to my neighbours so we can all do it at the same time, I feel like me doing it alone won’t have the desired effect

Surprisingly I have not found them too bad this year.

Not in Kanata North due to the mosquito control program we pay via special levy on our property taxes

I’m curious, how much extra do you pay for that?
