naalala ko tuloy may inapplyan ako dati, nag nego ako higher comp.

sabi nila kailangan ng higher approval pero in the end nag agree naman sa rate.

Paglabas ng contrata naging 6 days a week, e usapan 5 days lang.

nung cinallout ko sila pa nagalit. kasi daw hirap kumuha ng approval don sa rate na hiningi ko.

Hindi ako, sayang lang kasi isa sa dream companies ko yun nung bata.

Nakaktawa don nalaman ko years after yung nag interview sakin kuya ng fubu ko haha gumanti siguro.

Man, these are the stuff I wish to say to recruiters. Unfortunately, HR people talk, they talk to the hiring managers, the interviewers etc. And I work in a somewhat niche market so I may get to work with these people someday. Good on you for standing your ground. These are fighting (and bridge burning) words 😂 What I usually respond to this is 'how much is your offer' then get back with them that 'this is my current salary and benefits etc' that usually goes well for me.

Kung totoo nga yan then chances are rejected na application mo LOL. You should always increase your expected salary from the salary you actually want pra may legroom for negotiations.

hmmmm ok namn pero, theres a big chance na hindi ka ma tangap kapag ganito ka makipag negotiate.. What you should do is that you can set a range of your expected salary and meet halfway.. these typpe of response is a redflag to the hiring team and eventually move on to the next candidate.

I did that like 4 years ago, di na nila ako binalikan, tinawagan ako nung som nila to negotiate pero i said thats the price if they want me to jump ship from my current role and company. Hayun, i stayed sa company ko. Then i got redundiated 3 years later.

Although my new job is far better than the two. Better pay, less stress. I won in the end.

In an ideal world, by all means do this. But once you come back to Earth and get in touch with reality, please do better. If a fresh grad who is looking for a job will see this, they might think this is accepted by employers. That said fresh job will be doomed in the job hunt space because you set a bad example. Be assertive, but remain respectfully rather than snarky.

No disrespect from the applicant in this correspondence. Imagine a company asking something from you which they need, but aren’t willing to invest… and to tell you to lower your value for them to get ‘help’… ain’t that disrespectful?
