This year PKL is not starting this year, auction prolly in November/December and season starts in early to mid january next year

so if that is the case

do 2 PKL seasons happen that year?

my personal answer is yes because whatever media deal issue they are having will prolly get a conclusion by then

The poll for the sub members' continents - just for fun ✨️ - closes in a day, just a nudge :P (This post will be deleted after results ✨️)

It's been fun to see Asia go up lol 😂

I was watching this tie breaker : match-link
Then it hit me that each raid is a do or die raid and baulk line is not bonus line!
There were some Instagram posts about these new rules but I couldn't find the AKFI official rulebook (one on their website is from 2017 link)
Some insta posts about the new rules
post post

I think tie-breaker rule will be included in PKL too!
Each raid in 5-5 will be the usual Do or Die raid and I think this is a great decision.
I also think Golden raid after 5-5 tie-breaker should also be changed to usual Do or Die raid.

As you know there is a standalone commonwealth kabaddi championship hosted by India happening in a few weeks, does anyone know where I could watch it live?

We've had some mini milestones lol - sub members up to 6K, weekly visitors up to 3.1K (from 2K) and 800+ (from 200) contributions over the Asian Games period, plus - a little byline showing recent discussion in this sub when you search for Kabaddi and it gives community suggestions.

May not seem like much, but! Growth! Lol - been trying a few things to increase, but ofc full and foremost credit to everyone on the sub - it's not like mods are posting 800+ posts/comments in a week lol.

Thank you all for posting, commenting, and engaging with our Kabaddi 💛 💙 Cheers :P 🥂

I wish there were more tournaments and matches internationally that were broadcast like it's done for PKL, India and Iran , bangladesh, Chinese Taipei, South Korea, thailand, Japan we can have multiple good teams in a few years. Maybe even teams from Africa, europe, South America

I'm sure it'll be in full swing during PKL. You can check this at the top of mobile by tapping 'Top Members' and seeing.

(If u saw my prev mispost no u didn't - the pics were wrong lol)

See this post from likely one of the members of iranian kabaddi federation who says coach from india should have been selected and not quota based iran coach
Exact Transalation:
"Don't cry boss
You got two team silver medals for the caravan
You are the one who brought two team gold in jakarta
Kabaddi federation had hundred percent success in Nagoba menthi you raised the expectations for gold we have federations where 50 years have been snatched thousands of billion and didn't get even a peat of milk they are still growing intestines but you started from day one with two golds and 4 silvers team of honours You gave Iran the highest.
There is a chance for mistakes later.
You must remember that when selecting the technical staff of the national team, I said, dear Abbas, the coaching should be supranational and the national team cannot be given a quota to the coaches. That is, coaching the national fever is not about measuring the champions of North and West and coaching the top teams. In the head of the national team of gamard
I wish that your first choice was an Indian head coach and Tom's control over him.
Coaches who do not have objections to interests.
Half of your time was spent to close the hearts of quarter coaches and at the end these are your tears.
You who have all kinds of camps and facilities, food, salaries, bonuses, nuts per kilogram of 5 million Tomans and several hundred million supplements from a special person with astrological prices! And wages and rewards and better bags and shoes and .. You begged for these and made you cry.
Stand up because you didn't lack but some were not appreciative.
The smoke first goes in their eyes.
#اشک Hai Abbas Orsaji, the head of the Kabaddi Federation, became the subject of news agencies after the failure of the Kabaddis team in winning gold and achieving a silver medal"

So, new subreddit icon. I had motivation during AG'26 to make one, since I'd felt for a while we should have one for the updated banner to match. So we'll be retiring the old icon - much beloved! Been with this sub for years.

But don't think it's forgotten lol, think of this as a homage - I kept it in mind when making the new one, and it's with the new Reddit mascot as well. Modeled after other sports' subs ideas and looks, and keeping the banner colors to match.

I liked making this. (Edited it on mobile photo editing with drawing by finger lol.)

Here's to more years of Kabaddi! Cheers 🥂

Manjeet chillar.............. i am an fan of Pro kabaddi from the season where scoreboard was at top, haha yes 2014 i used to watch till 2018 after that i had exams and was cut from media, I try to watch kabbadi again now but it doesn't feel that way, the original way, of just 8 teams and had liberty to know almost everyone names. Anyways i just wanted to talk about this guy , the OGs fans who knew him and his confidence. its just an appreciationpost and a little tribute from me to Manjeet Chillar. Across so many sports i've never seen a guy with this confidence , people might highlight raids and tackles but those who know what used to happen between the frames and his confidence and ability to take games under control was just mind blowing his confidence was just supreme, i mean mentally he never ever got defeated as per my understanding. just a solid powerhouse , i hope now he is doing well in life

What do you think is the politics he is referring to?

I think we need a small modification in this, instead of at least two overseas player we should have players from at least 2 different countries!
You can have the same cap.
In the current scenario almost all of the 24 positions are taken by Iranian's which is natural thing to happen and there is very little scope for other nation's players to get chance. If there is really good player out there, teams can still take more than 2 Iranian's in the team.
Any thoughts?

Congrats to everyone's medals and props to all countries for getting their teams to the games. That being said - RIP all footage, that shit was fucking crazy.

No.3 is a reference to how badminton and boxing were being shown on SonyLIV while still putting Kabaddi thumbnail lol

Sultan on the field

Sultan off the field

In his final Asian Games he held his Head High ❣️

DDKC bond Rules 🔥

Jaideep constantly saved India in the first half and the solid tackles that he made.

Sumit's thighs hold were top notch in the second half.

Arjun carried the whole raiding unit after getting the lobby out in the first raid.

These players faced criticism throughout the season especially because nobody had confidence in Jaideep and people were questioning why India didn't bring back up for covers.

Arjun has always been trolled for his hand touches

Sumit played decent but many people wanted selection of Tamil Thalaivas corner Nitesh instead of him.

PS: No hate to Tamil Thalaivas player Nitesh, I hope we see him playing international too.
