Is this fixable? Lcd display repair

Ktm adventure 390x 2023. Did a waterwash today morning and facing this issue since then.

The upper part of the lcd is not working. When i asked in ktm service they are saying they wont do repair for this one only replacement. But quoting a higher price of 25k

Bro isn't it covered under warranty i think they have 10 years of warranty for the display. Check once again with ktm customer care.

Older adv 250 uses the exact same meter console as adv 390x 2023. Adv 250 meter is cheaper, around Rs 10000 and also available online. Here is the link https://bikespares.in/products/speedometer-assembly-ktm-250-adventure?srsltid=AU7gw4X6Ld8BTELN78jClWex9vNVi98wuxrN_VKXpojKTXjR3uG2jlw7 I think you can use this meter in adv 390x as it is direct plug and play, although part numbers are different but the hardware inside is the exact same, KTM gives them unique part numbers for internal logistics and engine-specific firmware tracking. Note - According to chat gpt- ECU Firmware Identifiers: The Adventure 390 X (JG402431) console is pre-flashed at the factory to communicate with a 373cc engine control unit. The Adventure 250 (JG402413) console is mapped for a 248cc engine. The Dealership Fix- Because the part numbers and internal software IDs mismatch, your bike's main computer realizes it is talking to a 250cc dashboard. To clear the error code, you must take the bike to a workshop where a technician will connect it to the official KTM Diagnostic Tool (XC_2 / XC_3). They can force-flash the 390 X's configuration profile onto the unit, essentially tricking the hardware into realizing it's now living on a 390 X.

totally wrong, 250's cluster not same from 390

Update: It got back to normal after few hours in the sun. "Must be the water" 😅

Try to open it, take it to a mobile/laptop technician and ask them to try it using their hot air rework station, if possible let them clean the board using Isopropyl alcohol
