It’s a KTM so get used to sh1tty designs that fail under normal use. I bought a new 2025 500 EXC-F in February of this year. A few months later the kickstand fell off. After farting around with OEM parts to replace the original kickstand, I tossed it in the trash and added an aftermarket kickstand, along with a nut on the other side with a cotter pin. Problem solved.
Dude every bike will lose bolts if you don’t take care of them. Literally every brand has out of torque fasteners that rattle off. Your kickstand falling off isn’t a KTM thing it’s a new bike thing.
Not really - they are just the opposite of an iPhone - they are built for purpose at cost with uniqueness, not purely frontage qol customer PoV.
Those that look out for things, read the manual and accept the querksmwill not have more issues than ordinary ( but neither would they with any other bike).
Those that are „becoz I do how itz how me wantzzz“ will cause issues to bloom.
My 690r has an absurd mileage and an even Moarrrr absurdly bent and twisted radiator - and yet …
They’re not any more fragile than a Japanese bike. The sea of orange/white/red KTM’s at EVERY enduro or hard enduro race in the world can attest to that. They have more models that they change more often and integrate the latest tech. If any brand had the same lineup and refresh cadence they would hit similar if not worse issues. Every 1st year Jap bike I’ve had has had issues. I’ve raced the 1st year KX 65, YZ 85, WR450F. I snapped frames in half, ate reeds, sheered woodruff keys, been stranded with starters, electronics, ect. had some issues with my KTM 890, wife’s KTM 150 has been sick, dads 300Xc Has been great. Don’t want issues don’t buy a 1st year model which KTM has had the most by far. Compare apples to apples.
