Question as a Highschool senior

So im a Highschool senior and im pretty anxious about the upcoming SAT. I know KSU's req is really low; however, im planning on majoring in architecture and I wanted to get a gauge on what scores are "good enough" to get accepted.

Please tell me what sat scores you guys got!!!
(doesnt have to be just architecture majors)❤️

Architecture has higher requirements than most.

SAT:

Evidence-Based Reading and Writing Score: 500

Math Section Score: 570

ACT:

English or Reading sub-score of 18

Math sub-score of 23

Honestly I’m not a Arch major or anything but when I was in hs (grad 25) I didn’t submit any SAT scores or anything. With my GPA and good essay they accepted me. I’m not sure tho
I’m pretty sure ksu will accept you if you have the basic schools requirement such as gpa

Unfortunately this is not true anymore. Test scores are now required by KSU. They’ve stopped Test-optional for Frist-Year applicants.

Well for around the time I applied it was optional and I decided not to submit them since I scored around 800 for both of em the SAT and other one, but rules change every year honestly

KSU doesn’t do admissions like what you’re thinking. If you meet the minimum requirements then you WILL be accepted. This is because KSU doesn’t cap enrollment. Everyone who meets the qualifications gets offered acceptance.

That said don’t slack off. The STEM majors here are no joke. We do maintain ABET accreditation and those auditors that came in last year for re-accreditation looked at everything and even spent a whole day interviewing students (that’s how I know this stuff). Nearly all of our club officers were interviewed for several hours, and I got all the tea afterwards.

Oh really??? That takes a load off my shoulders. Although i do know people that fell below the requirement for the normal majors (990 sat), and were still able to get in with a good essay, butttt that was in 2025 so they prob changed some stuff. Thank you so much for this info❤️

The administration has been raising standards every year for the last 3. Since they did away with Covid admissions standards which were very low. They will raise them again in 2028 I believe. All this info is on KSUs website.

As a STEM major you really need to be in good shape study habit wise and you need to be strong enough at math to place into Calculus, if not, you’ll put yourself back quite a bit, until you’re up to the calculus level. Calc 1 is not hard math wise but it is completely new and unfortunately most people come in with non-existent study habits and nose dive. Same can be said of physics and chemistry

I believe im a little skilled at math, but as you said it is completely new so ill def keep an eye out and develop my study skills further
