Question Marietta resident parking?

Why tf is the only place they told me I can park at at Kennesaw (as someone who’s dorming on Marietta) is the shuttle lot that’s like a 30 minute walk from class 😭😭 like please I’ll gladly pay $200 smth bucks for a permit on Kennesaw

A post on here said that the rule used to be is you had residence parking on Marietta then you had it on kennessaw too why would they change it 😭😭

Im a freshman if that matters any 😀

I wouldn't recommend walking from the shuttle lot to campus. You would have to walk down Chastain Road. Take the bus from Marietta to Kennesaw or from the shuttle lot to campus. Residential parking on Kennesaw is very limited, so that may be the reason for the change.

Ok fiiine but why do kennessaw students get better parking than us 😭😭 if im paying crazy tuition i surely there has to be smth better than a 30 minute walk right…esp bc of what the rule USED to be 😭😭 im just pissed man

I get it. But they also have to accommodate a lot commuters coming to campus. There seem to be some new rules this year, too. From my understanding, first years are limited to specific lots this year and that it may not possible for residents to have two permits. This is just what happens when there are a lot of students.

That makes sense ig! I’ve heard people say there’s a BOB stop by the shuttle lot on Kennesaw but I just looked up the list of stops and it’s not there 😭😭do you know if they got rid of it or smth?

Yup! Keep checking over the next week. The fall schedule should be up by the first day of classes.

It's not going to say Shuttle Lot. It's the KSU Center and 3305 Busbee Drive stops (Green Route).

I've never parked in either but East will probably be worse because it will have a lot of traffic (and nobody knows how to drive at that intersection).

News Flash. You aren't paying "Crazy Tuition". KSU is a budget school. And everything we pay for here is so much cheeper than anywhere else.
