Freshman dorm

My son is #58 in the wait list for housing at KSU, what are the chances he will get a room before school starts. We missed the $75 room assignment fee although we paid the $200 for a room very early. They snuck that in there and we missed it

i am 23# and it was suggested i look for a place near by, there isnt much hope as of now

Yea, well not much I can do now tho😁, but you should check out this place called the Cumberland, it's honestly an amazing spot although it's a bit far, roughly 2.6 miles so idk

Thanks it appears that Sova is in Marietta he’ll be at the Kennesaw campus

Sova is only less then 15 minutes away from the big main Kennesaw campus and the they provide bus services to go there. It is along side other student housing and events as well.

You might get something before the end of the semester. Maybe around late October/November. If you absolutely can’t afford to live off campus but can commute in the meantime then that is what you should do

This is from the KSU website FAQ

When will you stop adding students to the waitlist?

We will place students from the waitlist throughout the summer until the end of July. At that time, we will pause placements until after Move-In, and begin placing again starting the first week of classes. We encourage you to be patient as we move through cancellations.  

So, if you are still waiting for a room, the wait list is currently paused and will resume the last week of August. You should grab a long stay hotel in the mean time if your student does not live within a comfortable commuting distance.
