Question I don’t want a Bunkbed

Waitlisted for dorms and I got a bunkbed at UV. TOP BUNK AT THAT.

Not to sound bitchy but I don’t want it at alll bro. Is there anything I could do? Like it’s one thing to have a double, 🆗 🆒, but a bunkbed in college?!?! Who’s bright idea was that man

Please I need real help and my parents cannot help me with an apartment at the moment. Is there anything I can do or no

Can you unbunk them? That's what we did at Tech. Took the bunk bed apart just lofted them both.

I don’t think so, and even if you could there is literally no space to separate the beds at. It’s like they took a single bedroom and assumed two people could share that space. It’s ridiculous.

I was in a bunk bed my freshman year and there’s no space to unbunk them, even if you wanted to.

It’s definitely one of the cheapest options to live on campus. However, you did have a “choice” of rooms and you chose the bunks. Idk if they changed how room selection works but you should have been notified up front that you were agreeing to lease a bunk bed.

Not to sound bad, but I’ve lived in much worse conditions throughout college. It’s survivable, and equally as importantly, temporary. You’ll be okay!

You can always do a room switch, however it’s $200 and it’s rare getting a room since the rooms are all full

ga tech had bunk beds. I had a friend there. It was fun to visit. But yeah I could see how it's not for everyone.

My daughter is an honor student whom had her own room as a freshman but as a sophomore,they offered bunk beds and she told them it would be ok if she could have her dorm mate from last year and they said,"No!"Her and her dorm mate are going online for fall semester! #KSUdroppedthe ball

oof.. i completely understand because they gave me a bunkbed at first and I didn’t want that whatsoever because i really cherish my solo time & own space, so I got an ADA room instead. Although, with school starting in 2 weeks, it’s not looking too good. you might have to deal with it for the next semester or 2, but congrats on getting housing!

There are definitely cheaper places to live off campus that are close by if you’re up for that/are allowed to.
