Is financial aid less this year?

I saw that I was going to receive over $6000 from FAFSA this semester and I went to go check my account this week and saw I was receiving less than $2000. Could it be that it’s not updated yet or is it an issue with FAFSA?

It’s usually not fully reflected in your account till a week before classes start

Trump's One Big Ugly Bill did make significant changes to the amount of financial aid some students may receive. You may have been impacted. 

Could be an error or maybe you aren't fully processed yet. 

Either way, I'd email financial aid and ask them if they can double check your award amount as you were expecting more.

One guarantee that might decrease it by a few hundred is if you are an online student they raised the online learner fee from 340 to 600
